While I agree that this would be of great benefit and usefulness, I'm afraid that this would probably fall into the "biting the hand that feeds" argument that is also used to shoot down allowing VIPs to buy adventure packs.
If Turbine allows you to gift your points (that you don't use, or otherwise) to someone else, then it prevents that someone else from contributing $10 on the next double points weekend.
When Turbine allows us (or enables us) to use TPs more efficiently, there is the risk that they won't sell as many TPs. The counter to that, however, is that if Turbine is good to their customers, their customers will keep coming back and pitching in by buying more TPs, signing up for VIP, and referring new players. Ultimately, it'll be their leadership and bean counters that decide their path.
Now, if it cost 60 TPs to gift someone else 50 TPs (or some other sort of scaled overhead), they might be better willing to implement.
Green Steel Erasure (removing a level of green steel enhancement)- On the cheap. This lets you fix a lower end item without getting anything back from it. Great for levels 1 and 2.
Green Steel deconstruct (more expensive), lets you break down and get your items back.

Actually this logic is off. VIPs purchase points as well. A purchased point has already accrued Turbine receiving cash. Being able to gift points, would actually encourage more buying. Turbine does not care what you spend the Turbine Points on, they only care that people are purchasing points, so give some of us an option we have been looking for since the beginning of the game.
Do you know how much of a royal pain in the arse it is to GIFT anything in DDO to someone? The formal email process, 3 -5 business days for the initial request to be processed, then another 2 days of back and forth emailing for clarification, then maybe within that 10th business day, the person you were trying to give something to actually gets it. That's on a really LUCKY cycle. I have done it 3 times, never has it taken less than 5 days to gift points or members.

1) Bags to contain spell components.
2) A feature allowing us to redistribute skill points, we can change feats, we can reset enhancements but not the skills?
3) Ability to buy something for another character from the store (i 'd say gifts).
How to revamp past life reward system <--- working again
Developers should fix this <--- 2020 edition!
It would be great if there was a way to unbind “Bound to character” items and make them “Bound to Character when Equipped” (excluding raid and crafted loot of course)
It seems more then not that when i'm soloing with my melee I get caster stuff and when I’m soloing on my caster I get melee stuff. It’s very discouraging!
- Low(Mid/High) lvl Adventure Packs bundle with noticeable discount - just all low(mid/high) lvl packs in 1 bundle without exceptions. Many reasons for that.
- Permanent,Rechargeable Gold Seal Hireling Contracts. I want to have reliable partner, who will not abandon me, even if he will be expensive.
KhyberVisgothicFamily Leader
1. Name changes.
2. Epic Gianthold.
1) Previews for cosmetics other than armors (Preview Cosmetic Hair Dye, Hair Styles, and Helms. Right now I simply log on to Lammania in order to completely goof around with my apperance).
2) Don't abandon other types of cosmetics simply because armors are out. Do not neglect the addition of new Hair Styles and Helms.
3) Speaking of which, what's up with some of the good cosmetic helms in the DDoor Store being actual helms, and not appearance changers for your current helmet (I'm looking at you Lucky Green Hat)? Make actual cosmetic versions for some of those things already. I was intensely disappointed when I purchased a Lucky Green Hat to go with my Royal 1 cosmetic armor. The fact that my ranger can't have the complete "green" look without swapping off my Minos feels like false advertising.
4) Skill Point Respec.
5) I know you have rods of teleport, but do you have rods of DDoor? Haven't checked, personally wouldn't care about having DDoor myself, but I suppose that could get you some extra scratch. Huzzah, now I can solo farm xp on my ::insert non-arcane uber melee build here:: with greater efficiency.
~~
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Oh yeah, and I would like Greensteel Reconstruction introduced to the DDoor Store as part of a full and proper adventure pack. Looking at some of the responses around here, I'm appalled people act as though GS Retrofitting should be as simple as a credit card transaction. We don't need an easy button. We need a full raid involving Deconstruction. Speaking of raids...
6) Keep the higher level content coming. But your people are working on that already. Moot point.

"A man can remake the entire world, if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind."
I was merely suggesting that a VIP that doesn't spend points (mainly because they get a monthly allottment, and also have most all unlocked via VIP) gifting points to another player (F2P or Premium) would offset revenue that could be garnered from that F2P/Premium player.
To allow someone to buy points to immediately gift (not TPs that they have sitting around available to them) ought to be completely reasonable. I don't see any "bite the hand that feeds" objection to allowing for that.
Never tried to gift. If I did, I would use the Zaal method.
1) Greensteel deconstruction. (*Sigh, I know, not in the game but..)
2) Permanent Self-teleport item to my ship. (Sorry..)
3) Non-Bound large bags, or at least bound to account only (Aha! I found one currently available in game!)
4) Scrolls not available to regular vendors: DDoor, Firewall, lvl 8 & 9 spells, etc. Since they would cost TPs, they wouldn't be bought in stacks, but they'd help out wizards. (woot, found another)
5) Able to open all quests on hard (expensive perk, and not quite as good as the vip perk)
5-b) A pet dragon
I can't possibly oppose more all the shtuff about adding epic scrolls, ingredients, greensteel, raid items, etc. by the way. I am not discussing this, I am merely telling the powers that be that some people would find it unacceptable to the extreme.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.
Sorry but you are not grasping what I am saying. I should not have to BUY the points for someone else to BUY them something in the store. Which is the gift model employed by Turbine. Example, to gift someone the Gianthold adventure pack, you must purchase the point amount for the player to purcahse. They could buy something entirely different. This is not gifting an adventure pack this is giving a gift card.
I should be able to buy the points for myself to GIVE something to someone else from the store. Example I should be able to say, I am sick of giving Destro guest passes to Gianthold, his birthday is coming up, I am going to buy him Gianthold adventure pack. I should be able to click on Buy Gift, find Gianthold, and either get it in my inventory and have to apply it to him like a guest pass, or it should arrive in-game mail.

- +4 Tomes. Suggested TP: 1000-1250 per stat
- Medium & Large Green-Steel crafting ingredients (but not including Shards or Cells. Just buying mats directly is practically the same as Deconstruction)
- Epic Scrolls. Suggested TP: 150-500
- Wands of Dimension Door. Suggested TP: 50-100 per wand of 5 uses

- Huge bags not bound-to-character
- New containers for spell ingredients, scrolls, and potions
- Epic or Raid timer removers for those busy times with friends
- Ability to add race restriction on an item to reduce its minimum level
- Availability of more crafting ingredients (eldritch, epic, tier-2, & tier-3 Shroud)
Since you seem to have picked the style already. Why not go whole hog instead of a little bit at a time.
Items to add to the store.
1: Shroud ingrediants. All of them including shards.
2: Flawless red dragon scales, red dragon helm, other unique epic only items.
3: Epic tokens, shards, seals, scrolls.
4: Raid loot items.
5: Platinum.
Just do it all at once already and go full on 'money talks'.
This will make alot more money than live events with items to be bought every few months and the other ways ddo is becomming a korean style mmo.
(man, this will get me the huge neg rep. bet.)
