If I was leading a party and saw the barb shooting someone, I'd make sure to take his name down and never allow him in again.

If you want to do some better ranged damage, get the Gnollish bow for the strength feat when the situation arises. Otherwise you're doing a disservice to your party, not to mention your class.
Thanks for telling me how I should enjoy my gaming experience....

Ok then...what was the point that I missed?

The ending says "bowstrength doesnt add much" after referencing two ranger builds/archetypes. This is what really drew my attention.

The middle says "tempist ranger does half an AA ranger's damage during manyshot" which makes sense; A tempist ranger should logically do a smaller amount of damage per second using a bow than an AA. The middle also declares that this takes place when the two have equal str.

The beginning states that "you dont have the numbers for barbs." which is understandable. It isnt exactly something you would calculate on a day-to-day basis.

Logically, the the middle and final points are connected since the final part is in regards to bowstrength and rangers recieve that feat. As you state 'both have equal stength' it can be assumed that both would need bowstrength for your rough numbers to be valid.

However, the last line is a curveball: you go directly from "AA vs tempist ranger" to "bowstrength doesnt do much". Examing your declaration carefully "I dont have numbers for a Barb..." and "Bowstrength doesnt do much" would fit together with little difficulty.

As the data/anecdote you offer is about "AA ranger VS Tempist ranger" it would likely have something to do with the "I dont have the numbers for barbs...-but- bowstrength doesnt do much" sentence that was fragmented. Thus, you either believed that Tempist rangers do not get Bowstrength, or the middle argument has nothing to do with the main points of your post.

Since I did not understand how either could come to be while you offer summaries of data like this, I reverted to basic internet slang to articulate my confusion: 'wut'.

12 fighter 6 barbarian 2 ranger is actually the best bowbarian and definitely competitive with the helves angel heck it does more dps then the helves angel.

Edit: if you want arcane archer go with 12 fighter 6 barbarian 2 wizard or bard..

Edit2: I really want the ravager prestige enhancement for the bowbarian that I think might work best...
