Queen raid Elite solo (melee)

Not a great time, but did on 1st try with comfy pace.
Used up 36 repair serious damage pots, and 5 silver flame pots.

Used 2hf dps on jinns to enter.

Dwarven thrower on queen 1st 15%hp.

Then used ac against archers (otherwise they tend to consume up shields), some block/guards/tempHpRegen when was on lower hp (50%), and sword and board meleed queen in 50%-times.

Prolly last blow on her was a steam guard damage, not with min2 DA. Small accident.

Chosen only for the nice base damage and 3x crit multiplier, and for the look as 1 hander.
In the case of 70% usually use 2handers... (some exception when not: turtle mode, max ac mode..)

As someone who has soloed only ADQ1 and can barely contemplate soloing the raid.... can I ask a few questions?

Mainly what the heck was your defense... Do you have some crazy AC? Or do you just dish out so much damage that you use the "the best defense is a good offense" idea. Judging from the shield, I'm guessing AC. (If so, what is your AC?

Even with the crazed AC... how did you deal with Overrun? Just have enough AC so she doesn't often hit you when you're lying down? Time shield blocking whenever it would happen so you don't get knocked down?

That... and how much harder is she in the raid? If I could handle her on elite in ADQ1 (not sure if I can, but I've done hard), how would that compare to normal in the raid?

She seems a mean cookie just to kite her... to actually just stand there and beat on her... mind boggling.

A: the raid itself is 66% harder compared with the pre, as you need to be aware more things than the queen herself. (4 respawning archers, respawning jinns, telekinesis vs lava, blades, attack-waves)

A: had 83-87 fighting ac (which is 88-93blocking), and 40 blocking dr.
If go for good offense tactic i should use definitely more resources for this achievement...(chugging silver pots every 2 sec) and my goal is also use less resources if possible when doing any achievements...
A barb/monk/ranger etc. with 500+hp, very good heal amp could do definitely faster this job.

A: the key is, stay in one place overall as a 'static bastion', stand on your ground. She's not really overrun you in that way.

A: with 40dr (when you get low on hp) she cant really hit hard there. problem can be when you havent got enough ac to ignore archers and you need to fetch more high dr shields for that but high ac also can be problematic when you use guards also against queen, so need to do some math while you fight between the different waves, how to switch fast your situational equipments...

A: Devs did a definitive change against kiting on her last 20% life when turns 'invulnerable'. She got speed boost there, so very hard to keep up her pace to avoid slashes even with haste... so it wasn't an option (and with 'running' in stanced form).

Finally when you wanna do elite slower, but less resourceful way you need:
- evasion (at least 30reflex)
- 35+ block dr
- 80+ ac
- 500+hp
- dr breaker 1hander melee stuff (f.e. min2), and reasonable dps
- nightshield or shield clickie (queen and jinn force missiles)
- fire, acid, sonic, lightning resistances
- close to 30 willsave (telekinesis)
- haste boosts and pots/clickies
- a ranged weapon for her 1st 15%hp when she just porting and spamming from outer platforms
- guards for passive dps (she has many hp on elite): had incinerate, steam, thorn, demonic shield (situational), haste, desintegrate on.

I could make this in definitely shorter time (as no min2 ranged weapon for the start, and focused for melee only in 50%-times), maybe will do the same in the future, but with less completion time when really boring.

Won't try on epic anymore with melee. My main problem atm are jinns there, so can't make it without 25698x silver pots yet..:S
