    Which is better or what is the diff between these two

    Intel Core i7 950 Processor BX80601950 - 3.06GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, 4.8GT/s QPI, HyperThreading, Quad Core, Bloomfield, LGA 1366, Retail, Fan

    or

    Intel Core i7-2600 BX80623I72600 Processor - Quad Core, 8MB L3 Cache, 3.40 GHz, Socket H2 (LGA1155),
    Less is More, and Perfect is good enough

    i7 2600. Sandy Bridge is the newest archtecture and is considerably faster than the original i7 architecture.

    HOWEVER. . .

    The chipset has a problem with the south bridge chips that was big enough for Intel to recall all the Socket 1155 motherboards. The bug has to do with over-volting the SATA II ports potentially causing hard drive failure.

    The corrected motherboards should be out mid-march.

    If I were you, I would wait until mid- to late- March to buy a Sandy Bridge (i7-2600) system.
