couldnt work out the melee one to well. just so unblanced.

plus i sold off good portion of the larges since melee idea was prety much a bust. the run around untill u regen was nothig but frustrating to plan for.

Range is just the way to go in this type event.


Id be willing to host again if there enuf intrest.

Is there enuf intrest even if there is not 100 of each larges up for grabs?

Maybe host in on lamania? grab 1-2 teams from each server it be prety exciting event for sure


For me 8 teams would be ideal, 16 would be smashing

IMO the larges were just a bit ridiculous, though it did add some serious competition. Lamannia hosting sounds interesting, and i really liked someones idea, i cant remember who, with a seeker, two seeker guards, and a hunter of the seeker. I think we could definitely generate some interest...

I think if you had a set of fixed classes, (i think this was brought up before) were you have maybe 2 ranges (max) 1 buffer of choice (i.e. bard/arti) and two melee (specifically a Barbarian or fighter) {splash builds allowed} it might be interesting.

Bug the devs. They took an interest in the event last time. Does regen **really** need to be in there? How hard can it be to disable (or offer a toggle)?

I don't really play much lately, but I'd come back to smack ya'll. I'd also donate larges, if needed...sure others would too.

I have been working out the details for the past few weeks, so expect to see something official in the next week or so about Congo Bowl II.

As for the prizes to be offered this year, I have had several people wanting to donate to create a monumental prize pool that was going to eclipse last years. I have decided I will not be taking any in game item donations. There will be no in game item prize this time but instead I am going to be offering a non-server specific prize to encourage others servers to join us and include them without denying them there chance of a prize they can utilize and enjoy.
So I have decided and plan on purchasing a DDO game card for points. Around the $25 mark (It is what I can afford). I will be willing to take donations if you feel there should be more offered for winning this event if you like.

I am also willing to accept a donation of web space to host a web site for this event. I am a beginner at web design so I would even take assistance on setting up a site for this event. I know there are a lot of talented people here and it would be an honor if you would grace us with your support.

I had so much fun last year I wanted to pitch in and help this year so DDOCast is teaming up with Toughman and Clay to sponsor the event and help with online logistics.

Still exploring the Lamannia option and reDL the client atm. It will be a few days before I will actualy be able to log onto Lamannia and poke my nose around. Its been a long time since I have been there. So would like some feed back and some insight from more experianced Lamannia users or even non users thoughts on the subject.

Any restrictions for people being able to DL and log onto Lamannia?
Would having to DL Lamannia push you away from wanting to participating in Congo Bowl?

Any odd bugs that are different on Lamannia then that of Live servers?
Lamannia Reliable Enuf to schedule dates a mounth or even two in advance and the server still availble for that date?

Would server wipe be a possible threat in the near future? 1-2 mounths?

Is pvp even working on Lamannia?

Ill be on Lamannia today as I am finishing up the last updates.

Still looking for feedback on some of my concerns.

Feedback is important, it give me better direction on hunting down and solving potential problem. The more feedback I get the faster the whole process is going to be and less likely something will be overlooked.

There was an announced server wipe while they load up the new physics engine and such. I'll come back later and put up the link.

But with that said it may be up for a while when they go into testing for 13.2, but not sure when/how long it will remain up. It may actually bring some people to lammania while they stress test servers, but since it is a stress test there may be unforseen issues that may arise.

It wouldn't be a deal breaker for me personally to dl the client but it is a pain to go through it.

I personally would like to see it kept on the live servers, if nothing else we know what to expect in terms of bugs/issues. More "stability" in the playing field.

Thanks for the link. To my understanding the wipe is going to happen tomarrow the 12th.
so that shouldn't effect Congo Bowl players as im sure none have made one yet on lamannia since the new tweaked rules for this year havent been posted yet. Actualy sounds like this will be good for us since this wipe will clear out Char Copy space allowance for those that are full and free up space to copy the Congo Bowl toon over if they are willing to risk it failing over just making one there from scratch on lamannia.
