Default Advise on a Powerful Laptop

There comes a time! when a man must move beyond his alienware tower!
There comes a time! when a man must expand his horizons!
There comes a time! when a person is going to college and cant lug his alienware tower everywhere >.>

So yeah, laptop, seems like a good idea. the one i currently have is a cheap 400$ one (bought on sale for 200$), and im trying to find something able to run, say, fallout 3 on high settings (not ultra) at say, 25 fps+ , but still get good (4+) hours of battery life. This cuts out alienware laptops (only 2 hours even with the 9 cell battery pack :/), i would prefer it not to be quite so thick also, though this is a lesser issue.

Expect to pay 1k+ for a gaming laptop, where you could spend 600+ on a desktop.

here is a very nice, portable gaming laptop. Will play most anything out there and on the higher settings. $1200 so definitely not cheap and you could get a much more powerful desktop for less, but it is a great laptop.

I am sure there are others but I have had this one for 6 or 7 months and love it. I only use it when I travel as I have a great desktop too. I do not think I would want just a laptop
