Left Over ToD Rings?

While I know I need to go for certain set bonuses since they benefit me as a melee. Am I able to take any ring from ToD and add Holy Burst onto it for bypassing DR on my unarmed attacks?

Yea it's not ideal due to the amount of time I'd have to farm the mats and trophies. I was just curious since I see caster rings drop when the casters already have their ring(s).

yes. any ring can take any upgrade.

I am specifically looking for a couple ToD rings, but after not pulling them, I finally just took a ring with a primary stat I do need and Holy Bursted it.

I'll still burst the rings I'm looking for when I get them, but as a stop-gap measure this works just fine.

There are plenty of garbage ToD rings that no one will ever use. As a monk you should get two of them ASAP, regardless of the primary stat on them, and unlock them with Holy Burst (first) and Shocking Burst (second). Adding 3d6 per non-crit and bypassing DR/Good is a huge DPS boost.
