not at the moment however savants prestige line is scheduled for the next update
I'm no pen and paper expert, but can someone wager what concepts the Savant Lines will bring us?
~TheHolyDarkness Out~
"A man can remake the entire world, if he has a dream and no facts to cloud his mind."
The Savants are Elemental Based.
So... likely, we'll pick an element type.
Some of the things people have suggested might happen are (pure conjecture here):
Extra elemental damage of that type.
SLAs of elemental spells of that type.
Immunity to elemental damage of that type.
The ability to transform into an elemental, or take some sort of "form", like Pale Masters do, to grant some elemental abilities.
Ultra-detructo beam rays that could take out Optimus Prime in one hit.
Devs have stated that they are slated for U9. Acolyte of the Skin, the other Sorc PrE, does not yet have a (known) release update.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

Here is my hope for what the elemental savant lines will be:
This setup would require the current spell damage boosting enhancements to change from 1/2/3/4 AP to 1/1/1/1 per individual element (or maybe 1/1/2/2 if 1/1/1/1 would be too cheap) and crit chance/crit multi would go from 1/2/3 per dual line to 1/1/1 per element.
Elemental Savant 1:
Prereqs: sorcerer level 6, Spell Focus: Evocation or Sorcerer Past Life. 1st tier of damage enhancement for your selected element.
Effects: +5 stacking damage % for your chosen element, -3% damage penalty for the opposing element. Opposing elements are fire/ice, acid/electric. +10% incoming damage from your opposing element. Innate energy resistance 5 for your chosen element. Unable to take the damage/crit amplification line for your opposing element, so if you are ice focus you cannot take fire, but could still take lightning or electric boosting enhancements. Only 1 savant line can be taken at a time.
Tier 1 spell like abilities, 1 sp per cast, choosing one costs 1 ap:
Fire: Burning hands
Ice: Niac's Cold Ray
Lightning: Shocking Grasp
Acid: Acid spray
Elemental savant 2:
Prereqs: sorcerer level 9, 2nd tier damage enhancement, 1st tier crit chance and multiplier
Effects: +5% stacking damage enhancement (total +10%), +6% extra incoming damage of the opposing element, innate energy resistance 10 for your chosen element.
Tier 2 spell like abilities, 3 sp per cast, 1 ap cost:
Fire: scorching ray
Ice: Frost Lance
Lightning: Electric Loop or some other new lightning spell
Acid: Melf's Acid Arrow
Elemental Savant 3:
Prereqs: Sorcerer level 12, One of - Greater spell focus evocation, 1 sorcerer past life AND spell focus evocation, or 2 sorcerer past life feats
Effects: +5% stacking damage enhancement (total +15%), +3% crit chance, +9% extra incoming damage from opposing element, innate energy resistance 15 for your chosen element
Tier 3 SLAs (6 sp per cast):
Fire: fireball
Ice: ice blast (fireball with ice descriptor)
Lightning: Lightning bolt
Acid: Acid blast
Elemental savant 4:
Prereqs: Sorcerer level 15, Tier 3 damage enhancement in your chosen element, tier 2 crit chance and multiplier
Effects: +5% stacking damage enhancement (total +20%), +.25 crit multiplier, +12% extra incoming damage from opposing element, 5% innate energy absorption for your chosen element.
Tier 4 SLAs (9 sp per cast):
Fire: Wall of Fire
Ice: Ice Storm
Lightning: Call Lightning
Acid: Acid Rain (with an extended duration and damage)
Elemental Savant 5:
Prereqs: Sorcerer level 18, All damage enhancements and crit chances for chosen element, tier 1-4 SLAs for your chosen class
Effects: +5% stacking damage enhancement (total now +25%), further +3% crit chance and +.25 crit multiplier, +15% extra incoming damage from opposing element, 10% innate energy absorption for your chosen element (for a total of +15%)
Tier 5 SLAs (12 SP per cast):
Fire: DBF
Ice: Polar Ray or maybe Otilukes's Freezing Sphere
Lightning: Chain Lightning
Acid: Acid Fog (with upped damage similar to wall of fire)
Taking the tier 5 SLA lets you spend 1 more AP to enter elemental body form with the following benefits :
+100% fort, +50% stacking damage to your chosen class, +3% crit multiplier, +50% incoming damage from opposing element, energy immunity from your chosen element. This form lasts 12 sec per caster level. (level 20 caster lasts 4 min) with a 10-min cooldown.
I wanna see elemental substitution...
Wall of acid. Wall of cold. Wall of lightning! Cloud of lightning! Freezing cloud!
But i've lost any faith that turbine will do it and let it be cool. We're all supposed to be monks and barbs.
Thanks, now I have this song in my head:
I am the god of hell fire, and I bring you FIRE!!!
Oh, and now I have my hopes up too...

damaging spell-likes, hopefully better than the wizard gets if we're going to be pigeon-holed as primarily a damage dealing class for no apparent reason.
increase toughness, including the ability to essentially transform into an elemental of the appropriate type, in some aspect or another. probably including some fortification (should be 100% but we'll see), poison/disease immunity, type changed to count as elemental (making immune to certain effects).
further abilities will probably be based on which element...
Hey guys thanks for all the posts ive been reading up on both wizards and sorcerer and Sorcerer seem to be my cup of tea more.(Probably because when i did a Wizard i stood buffing my party/friends till no mana and had like 50 sp to blast woo) also apparently I only play tanks my sister says and shes the designated Damage dealer of the family whne i think i do more damage. So sorcerer should be a fun change of pace as i blast stuff to pieces
Also you guys seem to know a lot more about Sorcerer than me so what Race do you recommend. I have WF,and Drow. I would pick human for feat but don't know what feat would be worth it. Wf for the DR and easier wand healing and the enchantment con bonus. Drow because i love Drizzt Do'Urden and they have good Chr and int but the bad Con im trying to overlook. Right now i picked Drow. should i repick now considering im only lvl 5th?
Any and all input is accepted because I really hate redoing characters
Wf = AMAZING self-healiing, immunities & Con bonus makes you crazy durable
Human = The extra feat and skill points are nice...also has some decent enhancements
Drow = ummm...yeah the extra cha is nothing compared what humans or WF get. (Actually Drow are rarely a good choice due to being capped at 28pts)

If you want maximum DC, then Human or Drow. If you have access to 32 point characters, then Human or Helf-- the latter has the same stat potential as a Human, plus some useful racial feats. Also you guys seem to know a lot more about Sorcerer than me so what Race do you recommend. Warforged are gimped because they have a negative modifier on their MAIN stat. The cheerleaders for this choice always neglect to mention this fact. You are not a caster if you are focused on surviving more than your arcane abilities.
