    Default Wasted - a new casual-gaming, raid-oriented guild looking for members! (EU-based)

    Hey,

please allow me to introduce myself. I am jekkis, known as Eianos Aurus and Sneezealot on Ghallanda. I am the co-founder of Wasted and currently in charge of our recruiting. I haven't been on DDO for a long time, only some few months now, but I assure you my combined mmo(rpg) experience is much more than that.

Now, to the guild. Wasted started as a group of real-life friends. Some of us tried DDO years ago, but you could say we're all relatively new. Those of us who still remain in the game and thought of it as worth playing the second time around, are eager to expand our little enterprise.

In the beginning, we didn't have any strategic goals in mind, we just wanted to run around while sharing the same guild title. With the progress we've made, we're starting to establish some goals, and to fulfill those we need members. We're not sending random invitations to fill the ranks, instead we'd like to hear from you.

    What we offer:

    - a growing guild that will remain a tight-knit group regardless of public recruitment
    - active players, but with a bit of a casual mentality (for us this is a game and hence it's a vessel of relaxation, we all have a handful of stressful things like work, university, girlfriends etc. outside DDO...)
    - a chance to influence on the daily/weekly activities (based on your needs/wants: gear-specific, fun etc.)
    - leadership: with a growing number of members, there will be emphasis on running things and you really can be assistant (to the ) regional manager, if you want to

What we aim for as a guild:

    - a member base wide and active enough to support team-based activities from small group adventuring to fulfilling most (if not all) raid slots at least during active hours (for us, that would be from late afternoon to night)
    - mature and respectful representation of ourselves, both in and out of the game
    - having fun, be it with our guildmates or other acquaintances
    - fulfilling the goals defined as a guild: guild leveling, airships, equipment hunting etc.

What we expect you to consider before joining us:

    - playing hours: our core lives in Europe, so if your playing hours are much off ours, can we actually offer you anything? What can you offer us?
    - there's no strict age limit, but most of us are around mid-20's. How well do you fit in?
    - how goal-oriented are you: we like to do things properly when we do them, but what happens in the game is not the end of the world for us
    - your playing style: while roleplayers, powerlevelers, soloers and all are welcome, we emphasize teamwork here so we might not be the best offering for a hardcore roleplayer or the perfect level 20 character seeker

So, that's the essential. If you are still interested, don't hesitate to contact me. You can best reach me via in-game post or tell (Sneezealot). I am not looking for lengthy job applications, the game is not that serious. However, it would be common courtesy to briefly introduce yourself. It is best determined how well you fit in by simply joining and giving it a go for a few weeks.

New and veteran players are both welcome! Hopefully the veterans can teach us a thing or two, and with newcomers we can both learn more about the game. New players will find us a welcoming community and veterans will certainly enjoy the challenge of being in a growing guild (current guild level 16).

If you have any further questions, do contact me. Any suggestions are also welcome.

On behalf of the entire guild, I thank you for your interest in us.

    Regards,

    jekkis

    Hello,

as we are once again active in DDO, I'd like to refresh my previous post. Nothing essential in the above-mentioned has changed, a few of us has decided to call it a day but we still remain committed to the goals listed above.

    So new recruits are welcome.

A few days ago we finally achieved guild level 20 for our brand new airship. At this point it doesn't serve much other purpose than enhance quality of life by making travelling a bit easier to members. We are looking forward to grinding the next levels for some other helpful things like training dummy and navigator. Currently our progress is relatively fast considering member count, as we are enjoying the 300% bonus renown benefits.

Also, I've been asked on few occasions what it means that our guild is both, raid-oriented and casual. Essentially this means we are looking forward to raiding in guild groups, but it is very unlikely we will go to the extremes like try breaking certain time limits on raids or do them without gear etc. - the main goal is always completing the raid, we don't really care if it takes 4 or 40 minutes as long as it is enjoyable.

As we, however, are nowhere near raid-strength yet, this is subject to change depending on how enthusiastic people we get to join our ranks. Currently we also serve as a very nice learning platform for new players: we don't and we can't speedrun people through quests, but we have the sufficient time to go and let everyone learn them. There's still a lot to learn for us as well, so experienced players are also welcome.
