Vampirism is a strange effect that I'm having trouble pinning down, is it positive energy or...
Lesser Vampirism: This weapon drains a tiny portion of the target's life force whenever it does damage.
(Combat): Weapon heals wielder for 1 hit point every time it damages a living target. (Yet I can drain "life force" from undead and constructs?)
If your wearing Mantle of the Worldshaper this effect will remove charges from it.
Its affected by Improved Recovery which stats "You heal for ()% more anytime you receive positive energy healing..." and Healing Amplification " This effect amplifies all incoming positive energy healing by..%(includes spells, potions, and other effects
I'm told that if your a WF it repairs you for 1 point instead.
Vampirism is both Positive for the purposes of healing amp and not for the uses of WF. If you are hit by the mummy healing curse that makes you immune to healing you get no HP.
Now I could understand that it converts that which gives life to WF and fleshies but what tough for me to take in is that its Positive Energy coming for a weapon that is not.. Epic Souleater...Chaos Blade...Deaths Touch...Staff of Shadow...Dream Edge. These items do not make me think of happy, holy, light-bringing, life-giving things.
What if a WF gains +80% healing amp, is it gonna grant her 2 points of repair instead of 1? whats it gonna do? Positive or Repair?
This is Vampirism is a wishy washy flip flopper.
