You might want to learn the difference between newb and newb. I think someone quted me on this some time ago. One doesn't have to be new to be a noob. There is a huge difference. Once agin I have no problem with newbs. I embrace them. I can't tollerate a noob. I can't stand them.
I'd say anyone on here new or not doesn't qualify as a noob. They're a newb. If they are on here theyre new then they're just like you and I. They want to learn and play better. Thus making them a newb not a noob. Do I attack noobs? Yes. Does that mean I'm attacking people on here? Not likely as there are very few noobs on here.

Ya know, in another 5 years, we will probably be reminiscing about how FUN all of those failed HOX and Shrouds etcetc were.
A few weeks ago I was chillin in a group with some old school friends after running raids, and we just chilled shooting the sh!t.
Anyway, what I thought was great about our chat was really all of the people. And friendships formed. It wasnt so much about complaining how Blackguards were ridiculous and how many times we f'd up Fire & Ice, or the game itself. Ya know, remembering the good times, and laughing at the challenges. And making fun of Soulshaker's sister. Or me jumping into the lava.
Its neat how the game changes, though its friends that make DDO fun. That what I like about running with Disavowed, though I dont often end up in his groups, what I get from him is that its about fun and people.

Many thanks to everyone for the numerous kind words. It is nice to have made so many friends on here. It's rather funny when you think about it. The wife and I haven't met most of you in person, but after the fun times, bsing, ribbing, etc. you get to know a person and enjoy thier presence even if it's in a video game. Even though we've never met in person Bonni & I certainly look at you all as freinds.
To turn full circle. That's exactly what this thread was about. We met all of you thru pugging. I miss that bonding from pugging.
On a side note there's a newbie cleric Omahgah that's ran with us a few days in a row now. Great guy wants to learn and has a good grasp on the game. Still has some newbie moments as we all did. If you get a chance to run with him please do. You'll be glad you did.
Ty for the good times, and again for the kind words.

This thread sounds a lot like some drinking sessions at the RSA club.
I guess the closest would be the VFW. Veterans of Foriegn wars. They have bars all over the U.S. You have to be a vet to join and get in the bar. Just what we need. A bunch of drunk vets like Bret and I hanging around drinking & swapping war stories and talikng about how men were men.
Great way to break the ice.
Ya I'm 43. 7 years to go and I've paid my debt to society. Glad to see we can argue and pi$$ at each other yet still bust each others balls.
you put a smile on my face TYVM.
And yes the booze may kill me. I'm the exact opposite BTW. I'm only good for a few beers then it gets too heavy and I move on to my vodka and diet tonic w/ a lime. Light and refreshing for an old fart.
