OMG! My hubby and I played that game, even created our own gaming module to play with our friends. Some of the armor was abit kiddy-fied but the armor generator was capable of putting out some really awesome stuff too. Not to mention in game crafting of everything from boots to greaves, groin/belt, cuirass, pauldrons, arms, and finally gloves. The arms, pauldrons and gloves didn't even have to match. Of course the module creation color chart for dying armor was a hundred times more thorough then the in-game dyeing system but still that early game had so much more going for it in terms of armor graphics (other graphics admittedly poor) and crafting then this game, which is very sad for turbine. Don't get me wrong i do enjoy this game, but I'm having a hard time feeling any appreciation for the art team resposible for armor appearance... and less for turbine as a whole for not having armor appearance crafting available. Before armor kits came out I was telling my hubby its seemed like they were making armor, especially alot of named armor ugly on purpose.... since the kits came out i feel like now i know why. And if we ever discover there is ANY truth to that theory (as it is only a theory) then shame on them.
I choose to spend money here for creating and playing characters... I will not be spending alot of money on one time use, cover-ups for what i feel is cruel and ugly creations from the art department (I am specifically looking at Full Plate of the Defender and Gorgon Armor's Flaming butt flap).
