    Default server connection issues, it may be just me?

    I came late to the event, redid my spells and toolbars in a marketplace tavern, and went to zone to harbor, connection lost (timd out). I reentered the client, timed out trying to load harbor again. Restarted PC to make sure all was clean, was able to enter the harbor and go to smugglers rest...went to fight something, died, and got timed out after I hit release.

    I came back into the client and first time client timed out during initial loading (before character screen), then tried again, fine this time. But when I selected my character it timed out again zoning back into the game.

    I DID replace my router a week ago (lost one in a power surge, I don't recommend that experience to anyone) but I've been able to play the live client just fine and have been running diagnostics on my connection recently so I know it's not THAT bad.

    it -could- just be me, or my router, or my ISP even (Comcast) or it could be server load, something specific to the lamma preview client, or something specific to the lamma connection.

    If noone else has any problems I'll assume its just me and do whatever needs to be done...

    (relatively low graphics settings and resolutions, win XP, even made sure "texture" setting was medium out of an abundance of caution.)

    Default follow up...

    I defragged my disk (hasn't been that long but I updated the lamma client since then...)

    Got back to Lama at 12:30 ET after event was over. At first glance I appeared to have no problems (didnt try for too long.)

    Was it my defragmentation? Was it lag due to the event? Was my line condition just a little better for some reason?

    I wonder...
