I agree that Restless Isles is the most likely candidate for an existing raid-containing pack to become Epic. 3BC is probably the most likely non-raid-containing pack.
And both would be frickin' awesome if done right.
Hmm, more likely the Kangaroo is off fighting crime and saving the day, if you believe the Australian 60s TV Show "Skippy the Bush Kangaroo"...
Hmm, I guess that the reason some Epic Gianthold items accidentally leaked into the Compendium are looking like the base versions, but +6 and with two augment slots... Is it likely that Epic Gianthold will ever be released? If it was the testbed for all Epics I can imagine it turned out slightly more problematic than you had have hoped, but still, to me just because it was the testbed makes me want it more.
And, Eladrin, you can have a Kangaroo too. You and Fernando can have Kangaroo races whenever you feel like it. Oh I'm so going to drag this off topic...

Hopefully this thread has convinced you that at least the Tor would be worthwhile putting that work into.
I for one would love to do the three best dragon fights in the game again, at a difficulty appropriate for geared level 20 veteran players. I remember how much fun wiping to the white dragon was when I was a 14th level newbie, fond memories indeed.
Oh and you can tell the higher ups - epic GH will probably sell a lot of store mana pots and LR/TR tokens.

I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.
No, I agree that particular weapon isn't bad, the x4 is a nice addition to it. But still, they still seem a little under loved, it could just be me, but I have the feeling that Epic Tor would be tougher than Epic VoN6... Though, I could be wrong. (And don't really want to have a debate about it. XD)

Having to time killing of both giants and dragons simultaneously would be a challenge on epic especially if they have an insane amount of hitpoints.
Ice in particular would be interesting with the giant constantly dispelling the party and throwing epic cometfalls.
Would be fun to try though. And I really want to see more Epic Dragonscales added to the game.

HELL YES!
Separately, the khopesh looks uber, if kind of boring, and I'd have hoped that the devs would have learned after the ESoS (apparently they didn't learn after the SoS) that messing around with the crit profile of a weapon to make it the best in class is incredibly problematic. Tagging a ton of effects onto a weapon, the way greensteel does, is easier to balance, because it doesn't really scale with other sources of damage. Khopeshes are ahead of other weapons in a general way. This would likely be ahead of all other khopeshes, and that much farther ahead of all other weapons, and would simply pull farther and father ahead as more damage sources get added to multiplicative damage. Bad move in my opinion.

The eSOS was a bit more over the top tho. Consider how it is now:
+10 - best to-hit in game by a big margin
5d6+10 - best base damage in game by a big margin
18/x3 - equal best crit profile in game
(and previously it was even more silly)
OTOH, base SOS has the same crit profile, yet while it's a pretty powerful weapon from 10-16 or so, it's not used as an endgame weapon at all.
Crits are fun IMO (as are vorpal damage procs) - I'd actually like to see most endgame weapons have impressive crit profiles, and endgame content balanced around the assumption that players have these weapons.
I don't have a zerging problem.

yosh! need my epic vent bracers, head of good fortune and epic treason (15% critic, metalline, backstab 10, "improved deception?", 60% threat), slot for holy... any rogues dweam...

Epic madstone rod. Nothing else maters.
I'm not sure why it isn't, actually. If you have a big enough damage bonus the base SoS is actually ahead of a Lit II I believe. In any case, I still think that, even after the first nerf to the thing, it is in need of adjustment. For a generalist weapon, it is number # in too many categories and situations.
That's one way of balancing it, but the devs should probably go back and adjust all the epic weapons' stats to reflect this. Although, if they do this, don't we end up with the same problem, except where the epic weapons are a clear step above non-epics? I mean that the epic weapons that had the best crit profiles before will remain dominant relative to the other boosted epic weapons, if they all get boosted in the same way, but will be even farther ahead of non-epic weapons.Crits are fun IMO (as are vorpal damage procs) - I'd actually like to see most endgame weapons have impressive crit profiles, and endgame content balanced around the assumption that players have these weapons.
