How many of you have the sourcebook for Eberron?
Didn't I tell you already today that DDO is not pen and paper? Yes I did. So toss out your sourcebook and stop referring to it.

There are so many ways to raise a character in this game it's silly. Clickies, crafted items, spells, scrolls. Other than having an absolutely green character with no gear, there's no reason to have yet another method of raising someone.

From a perma-death point of view, I suppose you can look at it that a cleric is required in parties. Yes they may be few and far between but that is the choice PD players have made and you need to accept the consequences.

Being of two types however by all precidence says that you are BOTH types not either and so yes indeed regular wf should be restorable via various repair effects.
So a Half-Elf, being both Human and Elf should be counted as both types in all circumstances? We know that isn't true. By the same reasoning, Warforged being sentient should not be afforded the same circumstantial bonuses that non-sentient constructs (e.g. Flesh Golems) get.

The text of the repair spells is actually very well defined.
It specifically mention you can use them on "a construct that has at least 1 hit point remaining, or a living construct with —9 or more hit points".
The original version in earlier books that only mention constructs also had this 1 hp requirement.

There's no "two types", the subtype is there to expand on the main type, it indeed takes precedence.
The subtype is also the thing one checks to see if a creature is affected or unnaffected by certain spells.
Many of the traits of the entry for living construct start with "unlike other constructs".

Indeed there's ways to change the type and subtype of a monster, including a prestige class.
However, if you are talking about the warforged juggernaut they are still construct (living) so they don't gain construct traits.
They do gain some new neat extraordinary abilities that are meant to be like a true constuct but still not changing to it.
