Default Spellsong Vigor/Sustaining Song on Warforged

    Still broken?

It's not a known issue, to my knowledge has never been acknowledged by the devs in any way, has been reported to death by myself and many others and yet we still get no feedback about whether this is intentional, an omission, when (if ever) it will be corrected...anything.

As I've pointed out in the past it seems that the problem is related to the fact that the songs use the tavern drink/foods coding to operate and most likely aren't making a racial check to determine the correct drink/food to apply based on race. I could be wrong on this but it certainly seems to fit the experience of those with whom I've discussed the issue.

This PrE's been around a long, long time. At the very least please let us know whether our characters that we set up several months ago based on the assumption that this would eventually be addressed should be abandoned and LR/TR'd. I'd prefer to see it fixed but failing that a simple acknowledgment that this is WAI or adding it to the known issues list would be a great first step.

The Tier 2 (where those abilities reside) of the bard PrEs only showed up last major content patch (7 iirc).

So saying this has been in for a long long time is a bit of a misnomer. My advice? Relax....this next patch is merely for quick fixes that aren't tied to any mechanics and the anniversary event.

Update 7 was October 20th, according to the ddowiki notes. That's 3 months ago.

I think it would help to have a simple note from the developers indicating whether this is Working as Intended. I can understand that the fix might take longer to implement, but it would be nice to know if it is a defect or intentional.

Exactly. It should take 3 months for the dev's to respond to an issue that's been bug-reported into the ground by either saying it's WAI or putting it in the list of things to be fixed. That's all the bard community has been asking for but at this point I think most WF'd have just given up on those two PrE's due to the dev's silence.

All they want is some communication... or is that too much to ask? The isue is well known among the players and has been asked if this was wai many times. While update 7 may seem to you not so long ago I do belive a quarter of a year to await receipt of any acknowledgement is well overdue.

They acknowledged it. People miss those posts sometimes.

It would be nice for an update. There definitely hasn't been much of a response on this issue.

What exactly is the bug? That spellsong vigor (etc) doesn't work on WF or that it doesn't work if done by a WF bard? I have an elven bard with the ability.

I guess I really have to put that char on the back burner if vigor doesn't work on WF wiz/sorc, and my Anthem cloak continues to not work. Unfortunate because my guild is chocked full of casters and I think I'm the only spellsinger II.

Doesn't work on warforged with the exception of a pm in form (that seems to drop the construct blocking flag, or whatever condition it is causing that)

HUGE +1 on this! I'd never seen it and never seen it mentioned.

It's unfortunate they haven't fixed it yet but if I hadn't seen this I was just going to go Warchanter rather than continuing to keep this toon on the back burner.

Right...removes the stacking of bard pre's that U7 should have introduced. Having it be useful to carry 3 bards in a group just for their songs alone was really nice.
