Default Can you PLEASE update scavanger hunt?

One of the reasons I believe that I was not very motivated to participate in the Risia Ice games this season was because nothing new was added. Sure, the ability to add icy burst to your weapons was a nice perk, as well as adding gladication to non-named items, but wouldn't it have been nice to say, add something new to the event? How about a different 'secret recipe'? Or different items in the drop tables? Something new to the drop tables would have definately encouraged last year's participants to participate in this year's Ice Games.

I would hate to see a repeat in the scavanger hunt in the easter event this year. I definately would love to see new or improved things being added in the easter egg hunt this year. What do I suggest and why? Take a look:

    • New DDO store items. We absolutely need new DDO store items to be added to the drop tables, since a year has passed and several major updates have been made. Specifically, guild renown elixirs and armor apperance kits need to be added in the drop tables. At the same time though, I wouldn't mind getting a chance to win 500 Turbine Points though, why not? Having freedom to choose what special item you want certainly is a valuable thing!
    • More useful high-leveled rewards. In last year's scavanger hunt, most players reported getting better standard loot rewards on their low level toons than high leveled toons. Probably the main reason for this is due to the fact that some item combinations go away at higher levels. If you want a idea as to what to add to the higher loot tables to increase its attraction, why not add archmagi items? +5 vorpals of pure good? +5 Metalline of Pure Good? Or something that will attract the attention of high leveled players.
    • Different easter egg placements. You want the event to be fun and challenging, right? Well, if you just use last year's egg placements, that'll dull the fun pretty quick. While I understand that placing a ton of eggs in the marketplace is difficult to move, it never hurts to rescramble where they are placed.
    • Rewards for older accounts. While I understand you may be bitter giving older accounts and characters rewards for being there 'long enough', why not give accounts that participated in last year's event(Or characters, if you really wanna be picky) another special token? It'll be a good way to start reconizing older accounts and give those who have 'been there' more appreciation for being a participant in the game for a while.

Since this is in beta, I was hoping I would be able to plead to Turbine in order for a chance to improve the event and correct their mistakes made in previous events(Specifically the ice games). I do look forward to this event, especially if Turbine makes some changes in order to encourage more player participation.

I got far better drops on my level 20s than on lowbies, including some items that (while unspectacular) could not be attained any other way. Notably a no-RR 8 AC bracers of +5 to some useless skill, min level 20 - on normal loot tables that would be min level 23. No better than other 8 AC bracers except for the higher durability, but still it sold for a fortune,
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

I dont think the scavenger hunt is still "in beta" though that dosent prevent them from changing the loot tables. There have been a few changes to the hearts of wood since the event, and it would be nice to see the new ones included. I was pretty ok with the rewards from the last event, but I was much lower then, lol. I didnt see anything that made me want to buy more tokens from the DDO store, and I am worried that the current loot table for this event will be overshadowed by the new 5 year anniversary event.

Changing the locations of the eggs would be a bit of a waste of time. It really only takes the community about 36 hours to min/max any skill based event. If you moved the eggs, there would be a new map for the "Best Route" on the forums in short order. Ah, the miracles of distributed work loads.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

I spent 4000 tp for a chance at the heart, being the only way to get one at the time, but none dropped, so while i know i just had bad luck i'm still not exactly motivated to play again.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just buy the heart?

They weren't selling +3 hearts in the store when the egg hunt event first occurred.

I would rather have the easter egg event again, rather than the Pirate Hats. It took me a while to work up to max tier (two to three times as long as the normal person I would guess) but it was fun, and I really learned the Marketpace.

If they were going to expand it, have different rewards and different paths in different parts of the City. Sadly, I became addicted to teleportation rods last year (that Only Navigator II's on a ship have abaited.)
