So they opened Lamma a little later than you wanted them to, a little later than what you thought they said they would... so?
So right now we have a chance to help preview patch 8.1, where does it say this is all there is to 8.1? Where does it say they might not load a new update to lamma next month, or next week, or in 15 minutes?
I admit the so-called "gifts" (while they do and should recognize founding players) do seem to penalize those of us who choose not to or cannot TR enough but hey, its only a "gift" anyway. Heck, Id've been a founder gladly if I KNEW about DDO...was busy playing some other DDO-like MMO before I got bored with it, and tending to some very Real Life issues.
And while I didn't even participate in the MABAR event I wish them the best of luck with this one. I do hope the live event development doesn't take resources away from developing new mid-to-higher level content and other features. I found the mabar event confusing, I went into the cemetary and just got totally slaughtered by everything there and gave up.
But its just an extra, there's plenty other things for me to do. I'm just amazed at the assumptions some people make.
Oh and by the way, while communication with the player base is critical, so is not showing your hand before you've prepared your cards, and not making claims until you know you can deliver. Sometimes there are very good reasons for not giving details until the appropriate time.
My top 3 wishes:
Make DDO more solo friendly than it is...(there are ways that won't detract from the game...)
Make sure there are events that are not just contests of jumping or speed...
Minimize "key mashing" where possible. (that turned me off my previous MMO...) My fingers still hurt...
