    Default Thanx Bads

Ok so after being ignored 5 times applying to 5 different runs of ToD, I just want to say thanks to all the bad players out there that give Rangers a bad name. I worked my tail off getting my boots and now I get dissed because someone else sucks? Put the stupid bow down when mobs get within melee and pick up two weapons for pete's sake. And to all the people out there that just ignore rangers when they apply to a pug, if you dont want rangers unclick the little box when you put up a LFG, it takes a whopping 3.2 seconds to do (if that). Oh yeah and not all of us rangers suck, so stop being so closeminded. Thanx.

You can give a man fire and he will be warm for a day, but set him on fire and he will be warm for the rest of his life.

Indeed, Wombat has been on more than a few ToDs with me. The real issue with ToD is the reliability requirement. Crappy builds with lackluster hit points and subpar DPS make the end fight excruciating, especially if you have a 250 hp Rogue dying every two seconds. What I'm trying to get at here is that many of us have a long list of friends, reliable ones, that we prefer to fill our ToDs with. Your best bet, start sending tells and being courteous to people. Usually if someone asks me nicely I'll let them pug in my raid, and if they end up being a bad then it's unlikely they'll get many more chances to raid with me again ^_^

Did you ask the leaders why they declined you?
They might have had completely different reasons for doing it.

People try to fill up ToD with friends. When I put LFM for a TOD, and strangers try to join, I always ask them, do I know any of their alts? Then I ask group, that anyone knows the guy (you dont want to let in 200'ish HP rogues or clerics who refuse to drink SP potions in PUGs). So, the question is, did you know anyone in those ToD groups? If the answer is no, why you were surprised on declining? Maybe try to run the raid with friends first...

Yes i had same problem with my rogue when trying to get to evon6.. ppl always decline me.. and i ask why ? Im not a bad player.. and toon was quite good (400hp excellent dmg.). If they dont need rogue they should mark off little box on LFG.

I remember trying to get into my first few tod's.

All i can recommend is, do vod/shroud/dq/hound and even titan! :P ; till you start to get some name recognition from people.

And sooner or later someone that knows you from running with you in those raids will recognise your name when you hit that TOD lfm.

    Then you'll run that baby.

Please make sure you read up on the raid, as knowing what's coming (whilst there is no substitue for experience of course) will help you a lot to not let the team down.

TOD is not a difficult raid when everyone is on the same page, but, it only takes a few people that really don't know what's going on to turn it into a bit of a chore.

There are some excellent videos on u-tube that serve as great tutorials as well, the more you know about the raid the better.

If you have a good name, and know enough about the raid, then step up and put one together as the leader yourself, it's another option, and one that works as well.

Best advice i can offer m8, best of luck storming the tower.
