Arch-type prestige classes

I was looking at the Elf racial prestige arcane archer, and I started thinking why don't other races have racial prestige classes? then I started further thinking, why aren't there prestige classes multiple classes can get to. Then I came to the idea of Arch-type prestige classes.


Take groupings similar to the character creation class groupings and have a prestige class they all can take. for rogues, bards and rangers a scoundrel type prestige class. Wizards and sorcerers an arcane prestige. cleric and favored soul, maybe even paladin a divine prestige. and fighter, monk, barbarian and paladin a warrior prestige.

this would in effect simultaneously add prestige classes options to multiple classes. and further character build customization.

Just a couple of things.

I am guessing that most would rather have the 3 PrE for each class available and finished before we start adding 'Arch-type' PrE. While the idea is interesting I don't see this happening before that.

There have been hints on other racial PrE. Dwarven Defender (like the Stalwart Defender), Drow Scorpion (would assume like the assassain) are two that come to mind. They are in the works, and have been for a while, we just don't know when they will show up.
