Default What did YOUR toon do during Sunday's downtime?

Here, unfortunately, is what mine did.

I knock on Khally's door Monday morning, a bit frantically I'll admit, to make sure that she's alright. I'd been calling her frantically all day Sunday with no response. As far I'd been able to determine, everyone in town was incommunicado, and the rest of us were terribly worried. I make my way to her usual rented room above the Phoenix Tavern.

I knock again, balancing the tray of Starbucks in my right hand. No answer. "Darnit," I think. "Where IS she?!"

After far too long, I hear muffled crashes from her tavern room. Is that a window opening? "Khally?!"

"Yeah, boss," I hear her tired voice finally. "Just a sec."

The relief that floods through my body at hearing her voice cuts off abruptly as she opens the door. Her normally tidy appearance and air of supreme confidence are absent. This elf looks like she's been through Hell. "What...IS that drying on your face?" I ask, needing somewhere to start.

"Dirty kobold," she replies, trying to shove her hair into place.

    "The drink?!"

"...yes." Far, far too long of a pause there.

I shove past her into the room, which looks like whole hordes of dwarves have passed through. "What happened in here?!" I ask, my arms flailing about to encompass the destruction.

"Some...bards, dwarves, there were some warforged who taught us this "Indocent Exposure" drinking game, I'm not sure what else." At least she managed to look slightly embarrassed.

At a total loss, I finally stepped forward and hugged her maternally. "Well...at least you're alright," I managed.

"Ow, careful," she winced. "Fresh tat right there," she motioned over her left shoulder. I sigh as I see the words
"COMING SOON (TM)" emblazoned upon her flesh. I raise my eyebrow at her. "Really?" She lifted her chin a tad defiantly, but said nothing.

"Let's just...get going. We have a big day ahead of us." I hand her the coffee.

    "Whatever you say, boss."

My toons grabbed their powersuit and guns and helped me bumble my way through Alien Swarm.

Uh, nothing. My characters are just bits of data in a server farm, not real people.

ooOOoo Nice! Now I wish I'd thought to do that... Did your rogue-y types become the techies, solving those circuitry puzzles?

Fun idea for a thread, I like it.

My mage got called to help someone with a crystal ball problem. It was flashing 12:00 over and over until he went to reset it and make it work again.

My rogue slept all day. He might have been at that party Khally had.

the cleric went to church. Then proceeded to clean the airship and get it ready for "family" dinner.

    Got into the Justice League.

Not in this game, granted... but hey, this game was down.

I honestly have no idea what my toons were up too, but when I logged in the first thing I saw was my toon lying on the floor of the tavern, wearing a lampshade on his head.

I actually had the same idea as the OP, my latest Journal entry over on MYDDO, published yesterday, showed how my Rogue and Ranger reacted to been unable to visit Stormreach.

I'm taking a break from playing my Ranger or he has returned to their Homeland to do research on the threats face the City.
I have reduced the time I spend with my Rogue or she is occasionally travelling between Home and Stormreach, but I did intend to play her on Sunday.
Which means I am concentrating on my Cleric or they are staying in Taverns in the City and performing Quests for people.

So the short version: My Rogue attempted to visit Stormreach, only to find the Portal would not open (you didn't think they walked there did you, this is a Fantasy World, so Porting is available). Did not have any idea what to do instead, until my Ranger arrived, due to spending all his time at Home, he knew what alternatives to visiting the City were available at Home. So they went to the theatre and watched a play, of which they thoroughly enjoyed.

Or to put it another way: I caught up on a couple things I had missed on TV.

As for my Cleric: I think he would have been relieved to have a rest from Questing and spent the time in meditation and prayer.

For some reason, they liked being the Special Weapons guy. However, they admit that they haven't touched Tech much, and may change their opinion in the future.

Nadgers popped into the halfling bookshop, hidden on the first floor of the marketplace reachable only by ladders and often overlooked.

However a transcription of "Unexpected Useful Things for Adventurers or Confessions of a Hobbit Thief" eluded him although the proprietor informed him that he might be able to blag one from a Valkyrie contact.

In the end he bought and read "Extended Ways to Eviscerations (with colour diagrams and very little blood splatter)" at his favourite quite spot in the harbour, close to the out house but past the trainers.

Half my guys and girls had a well earned break at the beach.

The other half were locked up and made to brainstorm ways to stop them from becoming feeble weakling gimps.
