    Cool Getting help from guild

    Hi and morning
I'm kind of at a loss here
I was under the impression that if you were a member of a guild you could ask that particular guild for help with crucial battles if the need arose. Is that essentially correct or did I actually get the wrong impressions about gukd membership? The reason I ask is I'm a officer in guild Rogueforce and on occassion have tried to ask online guild members for help with some battles or if I died to help me to get to a shrine. As to date I've had no luck in recruiting them. Any hints as to how to approach them and asking them for help?

    Hi,

those things depend on the type of guild.

There are many guilds, that only try to provide access to an airship with shrines and to discount guild vendors in house Kundarak. All that those expect from their members is playtime and later plat for the airship.

Other guilds try to form groups and do guild-runs. Most of those guilds are only concerned about high-level content and raids. Some others try to form static groups or provide some form of uncommon playstyle like roleplaying or permadeath. Even in guilds that do guild-runs many most of the time run with friends.

If you ask for help and no one answeres, theree may be different reasons. First, this is an international game and most of the time only a part of the guild is online at all (you can see who is online in your guild panel). Of those payers that are in game, many will always be outside your level range and probably not respond. If they are many levels lower, they will most problay die when they enter your quest, if they are above level, they will cut down your xp.

Of those online and in your level range, some will be in a group. It is annoying to leave a forming party and even more annoying to leave inside a quest. Maybe some will even not read the guild chat at the time to not miss party chatl. This is even more probable as guild massages are by default not visible in party chat.

The rest of your guild, online, in level range, not grouping, reading guild chat, will get your request. Some of these might have not enough time or do not like that particular quest or don't think they are up to that challenge or don't want that hit to their xp on a TR if they join a quest late which had already one death.

But in most guild except the huge invite-everybody-types, there will at best a handful that could in theory help you. Try \tell instead of the guild chat and you most likely will get at least an answer with a reason for not helping. Or they could come if asked personally.

Some guilds focus on raiding, some social activities/grouping, some are pretty much just ship access for solo-oriented players. Every guild is run differently and some guild leaders are far more lax about how their guild is run than others - and every guild's sociability varies widely, from completely ignoring each other to incessantly chatting over voice chat.

It sounds like you're in a guild that isn't the right fit for you, and need one that is more socially-oriented.

(I feel your pain though, it took me a few tries before I finally found one that was a good fit for me!)
