Edit: without getting near more information they generally have waivers for just about anything and if not waived now maybe waived later.

DADT is out. You really can go to sea as 600 men and come back as 300 couples now...or however many men are on a boat...or are women on subs now?..I can't imagine that not being awkward at times.

You can get just about anything waived or otherwise fixed up these days when it comes to getting into the military. It might take some time, though, and you might need to try another branch.....perhaps one that recently dabbled in something called stop loss?

lol no...am not gay it was embezzlement, while a petty misdemoner in the state it happened in. Military look at it as a felony.

They let Felons into the Army on Waivers now. Go double check =)

Most of us have done something dumb in our past, it shouldn't have to haunt you forever.

If you really want it keep working at it. I will be on the lookout for "navy update 3" at some time.

Depends how much you have "whiffed", body fat, and various other factors. Better to just not "whiff" someones second hand smoke. That is all I will say, I don't know the forum rules for an actual answer to this...Probably bad.

as in being in the same room when people start lighting up the pipe. I dont smoke dat horrible stuff, but a lot of the boys do, esp after a game, im more of a girls and booze man myself. oh and kava but dats ok.

I've got a tattoo of a barcode on the back of my neck which kept me out of the Marine Corps. The top at MEPS wouldn't give me a waiver even though I aced the asvab and physicals and trained other recruits at the recruiters station for close to a year.

He said it was gang related since any tatoos at the time which are located on your (face, hands, neck, head), anything with writing and anything with numbers on it fit that category and I hit all three.

Too bad for them I suppose.

Yea expectidly am feeling slightly depressed on all that. I ll check in once a month see if the rules change but overall am stunned. Ill start looking for jobs and starting over.

Well when all this gets worked out and you can get a waiver or get a better ruling on the matter I may just run into you when you make your way to boot. Seeing as how the Navy has reduced their NTC to only one facility and I work at that facility primarily on recruit side, there is a high probability for me to actually run into you.
