That I'm actually getting on here and posting is amazing... I never bother with the forums much other then to laugh when someone goes "hey Auro they're talking about one of your drunk raids again" But after the last few raids on both Cari and Auro, I can't really be silent anymore.
My lfm almost always says be fun, and or drinking.(unless I spell it wrong) Most of the time there are a static 6-8 of us who run the raids together all the time, we fill in what we're missing with those "lucky" few. My bio states I am here for fun, the serious, anal retentive people should really not join my groups because I play for fun (catching the hint here)
My shroud runs are highly entertaining, even the one we failed on purpose to try and kill a caster the whole raid squeched was a blast. Hound runs go smoothly (even without the needed rum *sobs*) and 9 times out of 10 I get told it was the best run they'd ever been in (likely because they're still drooling over the voice, but I won't complain)
I don't need you to be sending me tells asking what method I plan on fighting trash with in hound when it is on normal. Don't need to hear your history of how many times you've ran it. Surprisingly all it really takes is a wee bit of smarts on my end, and a decent group to finish a normal hound raid. Same goes for shroud... I pretty much have it figured out no tells required commenting on the makeup of my group(or my 1 level of sorc on Cari) needed. My only downfall is trusting casters who say they know it(don't mind new people, just let me know so I can explain it all). And yes... I can solo heal an elite VON 6 and Chrono. The raids really aren't that hard. Heck my friend and I 2maned chrono elite...
There are people who play this game for the serious aspects of it. I somewhat understand it, I'm guessing it's like girls who need the Coach purse and MAC makeup to survive... but I'm not one of those types(should note, if you want to buy me those...I won't say no. I'm just not dumb enough to pay that much). I don't play to get epic whatever it is or some mystical item that I "need" to survive in DDO, I play for the fun. For the corny Cari goes home with 11 guys line in VoN 6, the water breathing in shroud to help beat down portals.Being told it is no longer a tbag but a lil purple sack thanks to a slip of the tongue one night. The arguments about bacon, the lrg devil scale bet that I won't drink till Vegas, and of course the inevitable me sticking my foot in my mouth about something.
This is why it is on my bio that I do not like serious people and won't group with you. This is why I don't join groups that have "KNOW IT" "HAVE ALL GEAR". And it is why you get squelched when you start in on the seriousness of the game. It's not because you aren't a nice person... I'm sure you are, and you have awesome gear and know all there is to know about DDO and exactly what I am doing wrong in it... It's just ddo is far to entertaining to take seriously
oooh wow my first rant =) now off to do that thing called life for a bit
