    Default Dilettante Comparison

Does anyone know the comparison in what the success chance is in using a resurrection scroll between a fully maxed Cleric Dilettante with 10 charisma total and a fully maxed FvS Dilettante with 12 charisma total?
    -thanks

Assuming you're using the Dile, and not UMD, Charisma doesn't matter at all.

It's a caster level check, which is d20 + (CL * 2) vs a DC, which is the level you would get the spell times 2.

So for Cleric dile with full enhancements, it's d20 + 20 vs DC of 22, or 95% success
So for FvS dile with full enhancements, it's d20 + 20 vs DC of 24, or 85% success

The DC for FvS is higher because FvS gets it's spells later.

So even with UMD factored in, bonus of 1 umd at %5 with Cleric Dil vs. 2 umd at %10 with FvS Dil, Cleric still has the advantage?

Using a half-elf dilettante doesn't factor in UMD.

At all? So a rogue with Cleric or FvS Dil, would have no use for investing in UMD in regards to using divine scrolls?

At all - unless you have a plan to get your UMD to 39 (or 38 for a FvS, as a 90% is better than an 85%).

The game uses the better of the two checks (UMD or Caster Level), it doesn't combine them.

A rogue is probably better off just having a high UMD rather than worrying about cleric/FvS dilly.

For someone without UMD as a class skill, the dillys are probably better. But why bother with a rogue.

If you have the charisma (although not sure why, but you were discussing the FvS dilly) go with paladin for saves. Other than that, human is probably better than half-elf for your purposes.

its one or the other, if u have the dillie(or a lvl of the class for that matter) it uses a lvl check and does not allow a UMD roll.
    X...what? that is my signature
