In an effort to make DDO more enjoyable for everyone, I've decided to submit my kick-ass ideas for your own pleasure, and hopefully to see atleast one of them imeplemented into the game. I'm sure we'll see alot of constructive suggestions / feedback here, and most of it will already been said at an earlier time; Please feel free to move the thread to another forum if you see fit.
Kick-ass idea #1: Advanced Metamagic Assigning.
- The role of a good caster is a tedious one indeed. It involves much toggling between Metas, and limits our effectiveness to due to our inherent laziness. Do you grow tired of turning off Heighten to save a few spell points when casting "Heal"? Do you get sick of turning off extend to pass out buffs? Do you wish Empower, Maximaze, Enlarge and Quicken effected only pre-determined spells? You do not, because you are lazy; But I do! I propose a new system; The Advanced Metamagic Assigning!
When you decide to add this righteous feature to DDO, you should give us the Check-Box-Option in the Gameplay section of the Options Panel (off by default so people don't lose their minds). Once enabled, ALL memorized spells you cast have no applied Metamagic. To apply specific Metas to each spell, memorize the spell and then Ctrl+Right-click from the Spellbook, and then select which Metas apply to that specific spell, via a little pop-up window. K'POW! This not only makes casters more effective, but also makes Metas like Enlarge a viable option!
Kick-ass idea #2: Fix the Buff-bar display.
- With the new addition of 'Ship Buffs', the display of your buff-bar is practically impossible to work with. If my Barbarian didn't stop taking damage when he swung his weapon, I would never know when Frenzy wore off. This isn't the case for short-term buffs, such as the Paladin's Divine Might. It makes for an unenjoyable play. Force the buffs to move onto Line 2 when they reach your resolution width!
Kick-ass idea #3: User-chat upgrades.
- Not many people use the Userchat feature, but for those who do, some upgrades would be much appreciated. The option for the creator of the Userchat to view members from the Social Panel would be very handy, and while you're at it, can you give said creator the option to boot-by-account and change password via Social Panel?
Feel free to sign and add your own suggestions. Mine are probably not original, but with enough interest, maybe we can make a change. I especially like Kick-ass Idea #1. 'Nuff said.
