    Default Auction Expirations

    This should be a really easy feature to put into place:

    Once an auction expires and it sends the item back in the mail, include in the mail the amount that you put the item up for.

    Reasoning: If you action 20 items, typically what we do is search out a comparable price before putting it up for auction. This takes a lot of time and is tedious. If we had the original auction price on the items in the mail, we could easily put those items back up for auction without having to remember what the previous price was.

    After a while you may begin to remember what the price was or should be, at least on the valuable stuff.
    The new auction search makes the lookup much much easier, altough still takes time if you have tons of items to list.

    If you are trying to put every piece of loot up for auction maybe some pricing formula may help.
    For the uncommon but non-rare items many people used to go with simple pricing, like 50%, etc.

    The problem with auction tracking or easy renewal is they don't want you to use the list as cheap bank.
    (e.g. putting all your cheap things like potions, scrolls, wands, low lv clickies, cookies, candy canes, collectibles, ingredients, quivers, sun flasks, etc, etc, etc.)

    I don't really understand what you mean. With our current system, what is stopping people from putting up cheap items for auction like you described?

    Also, having the price displayed on the mail you receive will allow you to adjust your item prices (eg: lowering them when you put the item up for auction and it didn't sell).

    I use to use my mail box and a bank if something didn't sell the first time I'd leave it for 2 weeks 3 days in the mailbox never used the AH as a bank tho I've seen people doing just that with the crazy high prices they know no one will take. lol

    @OP
    It would be convent but I don't see them adding that until after they've made the AH even better. Like searching all + Stats/Skills/Clicky items.

    Well, lazyness maybe. You can use the ah as bank but if it were effortless i'd think there would be a huge flood.
    Obviously mailing to bag toons is what most people do, but still. Besides on the ah crazy rich people may buy them.

    The idea is fine though, it would take nothing special to show the price you set on the expiration mail.
    It'd say "Your item at x plat have expired" or something.
