    Default Adventure Pack Trials

Here's an idea that I thought of that would be nice for premium players, the ability to trial run p2p adventure packs to see if they feel its worth getting or not. It would work something like a pass, except unlike a pass, the individual who is purchasing the trial doesn't need to own the pack. Furthermore, the trial could be limited to only running in normal or perhaps even just casual. The trial price should be very low. Turbine would want to encourage people to try before they buy as they would make more money that way.

I like it. The trials would have to be limited to only be purchasable once, maybe twice, per character so they can't be exploited to run P2P quests without buying the pack. But I think allowing people to try out premium content without needing to rely on someone else with the pack supplying them with a guest pass is a good idea and would probably (hopefully ?) encourage more people to buy adventure packs. Won't hurt anyways.

as a premie I have to say I'm for this idea. I'd love to try some stuff out before I buy.

    Idea to go with this:

"Trial Run" Would give no Xp , no favor and and no loot. you would get to see stuff in the chests and the end reward list but not actually get it. Or maybe even have it set up like Tesyus in Relic where you can pick it up and use it during the quest but drops and goes away at the end.
Move along , Nothing to see here

I like it. Or maybe even have weekends or a day where a certain adventure from the pack is free to play for that day/weekend only so we could get a taste of the adventure with the bait held out in front of us to entice us to go get the full pack to complete the quest series.

I like this idea. I am P2P myself, but I do like the idea of giving folks a peek and what they are missing with the various packs. So, here's my thoughts on the matter.

    - You get ONE trial run per adventure pack per account.
    - You get to run the entire chain exactly ONCE.
    - Restricted to 'Casual' difficulty.
-- As soon as you join a party, ALL quests in the series are 'Locked' on Casual.
-- If you try to join an IP quest, you cannot enter the dungeon unless it was originally opened on the "Casual' Difficulty
    - All named, unique or pack specific loot is removed from the loot lists. Both for chests and end rewards. No cheesing it up for the goodies. You want um, buy the pack or con someone into gettin you a pass.
    - Appropriate Favor is awarded for a regular casual run.

I'm not sure what the motivation is in some of these replies to heavily restrict a self-bought trial pass, when the fact of the matter is someone else can already buy you a pass without any restrictions whatsoever. So long as the TP cost is equivalent, I see no reason to limit the experience. Either way, you're still paying to play, either monthly like a VIP, or per-minute with a pass.
