Default My Regards to you Clerics.

I have run many a shroud, and always ran DPS.
And always when i run there is a cleric who gets annoyed because someone dies and blames the cleric... or they are giving out the heals arn't fast enough!!!

WELL... i thought to myself, how hard can it be really? i mean... its only healing right??

So i decided tonight, Only got out of the run 10 mins ago, to borrow the use of my Fiance's lvl 16 Cleric Kaiyou, and run a shroud. As it was my first time healing in a shroud i was not used to standing back in phase 1 and just throwing the odd heal here and there... it was nice. I cud smoke and relax like i love doing when soloing.

...BUT, when we got to phase 2, the sh*t hit the fan.... It was crazy!! And to top it off my computer thought it would be great timing to start acting stupid and i lagged like a mother....

I had to chase after people, heal him, heal her, put up BB, run after him, heal myself, Find where the hell my fiance puts her buff spells, then try to get in range to give resistances.... healing someone who just ran around the wall and having to run around to heal again coz it was an..."Invalid Target"...

Clerics really do have theyre work cut out for them all the time not just in the shroud, but shroud being something i do once daily i wanted to see what the experience was like for others.

Thank you Healers, now i know what you have to go through to keep us alive.

It can be tricky bring a healer sometimes.

Its nice to see someone taking time to see what it can be like.

I have a FvS and it can be even trickier when your healing and meleeing at the same time.

Maybe you could roll a healer and join our ranks? Once youve tasted the forbidden fruit of healing you'll never turnn back lol

Now you know why it's so hard to get a Cleric for Elite Amrath....

Healing a Shroud is a cakewalk comparatively.

You learn a lot about people as a Cleric

People with "cool" names have have too much pride.
People with "no zerg" in their LFM are too indifferent and are very prejudiced.
People who take names of popular characters or people have no patience.
People who add "No Anon" in their LFM are intolerant.
People who only take Pure classes in their own party are extremely insecure.
People who seek healers only with an unfilled party are too pushy.
People who start "BB" Normal Shrouds are too inexperienced.
People who seek "TRs Only" parties cannot hold their own.

Overall, there are things you only understand after playing a Healer for so long. Simply looking at the LFM and the people in it can easily tell you if it is a disaster to come or you are better off somewhere else.

Personally, I stay Anonymous myself. If a party does not allow an Anon cleric to join when that position is open, that is a clear signal that their intolerance will eventually hit a nerve.

You got it all wrong, melees need to be taught how to behave, not have you chasing after them because then they learn nothing.
Part 2 I'm in SW. If you want a heal then come over there, if you die then I'll raise you in SW.

My worst bit, is those who charge off unbuffed and then complain they getting hurt...

Everyone should be forced to create a Healer as their first toon. (this is said in jest) It would help everyone understand the pains of a healer.

Yeah, phase 2 is chaos at times, but my fave to heal. Phase 1 is a bore, phase 3 is too, phase 4 is frustrating as is phase 5.

Pick up a pair of portal beaters and pitch in. Usually the one wizard is roaming and cleaning out all the trash mobs coming out of the portals. If not I roam and take out trash, with destruction, slay living or implosion, no reason to stand around waiting to heal, portals don't fight back.

I run water in part 3 too. No reason to stand at the fountain waiting to heal someone. Boring

I was not aware how hard the healer's job was until I started one myself.

I have pugged a bit with the character, and it's amazing how much effort it goes to keeping a party of zergers alive. And getting flak for not healing fast enough.

Glad you brought this up - I too have a great appreciation for the clerics. Not on a Shroud level, but any pug that zergs....

So you dont play a cleric on a regular basis... DOnt even have your own end game cleric...

You decided to use another account and borrow a l16 cleric and were surprised when you has issues?

Its hard enough for most folks to keep hotbars straight across mutiple toons and builds (If I had a 5plat for every time I accidentally cast Mass heal on my clerics when I was trying to use my wings, I'd be rich) let alone trying to pick up someone elese hotbar setup on the fly.

Basically, Healing the shroud isnt that hard for experienced healers. its much harder just dealing with folks who feel you need to chase them around and put band-aids on every boo boo.

Usually, it's not too bad - but you know you're going to be in for a "more difficult than normal" run when you're down to 1/3 SP and Harry's still above 1/2 after Round 1 in Part 4, and the other healer-type is out of SP

(Of course, you can also usually get a good feeling for how rough it's going to be simply by how long it takes to kill the first portal in Part 1...)
