Question Gaming Secrets & Unknown To-do's

I have a question for all who believe they are the "fountain of DDO knowledge", exploiters of legal glitches, master gamers and/or DDO tour guides.

What secrets or unknown to-do's have the general population doesn't know about that is not against game rules and/or regulations?

I'm just curious and this might help many players who tend to play without observing the obvious become more aware.

But if they post all the "exploits" on the forums they'll get fixed

If you don't have an SSD, you should be using DDOPreload (fixes the slow first login issue)

One exploit we don't want the devs to know about is that if you push the up arrow key twice, and then the down arrow key twice, then the left arrow key, then the right one, then left and right again, and then hit B A B A on your keyboard it will cast a true rez on yourself if you're dead.

So nobody post exploits here, because I find this "bug/glitch" useful at times and I don't want it fixed.
Have you ever wanted to create your own customized user interface skins for DDO?

    You can shoot around corners.

    Add:
Monsters (except Beholders) do not have eyes in the back of there heads (although they can apparently turn there heads toward, see you and move/teleport to attack you in a fraction of a second.) They also have blinders on and cannot see to the sides.

They do not have a sense of touch either, or smell. (but in one quest they smell with their eyes and ears)

Some have blindsense, tremorsense, or lifesense....which I believe works the same for all of them.

They do have super hearing though. But it only detects footsteps. They cannot hear you if you do not move. (I'm not 100% sure about moving in the air.)

Activating most levers, doors, switches.....res shrine. does not make noise.

Some spells make noise. Usually those that effect an area do. Like Haste.

Ranged weapons hitting something make noise. Breaking barrels makes noise.

Monsters talk to each other. If they are nearby.

Many doors and some walls can be seen through by monsters. (random walls or doorlike/temporary walls mostly.

Monsters in some other position than their normal standing position...(sitting)...before they have agro, are for all intents and purposes sleeping, with their eyes closed. A few are awakened simply by being near them, whether they heard you or not.....most are not. Some are not actually really there at all, and cannot be interacted with until activated.

Simply being in sneak mode reduces the range that most monsters can see you at.

Many giants can see far away.

Many giants, all Drow, Duerger Dwarfs, Bezekira(sp) (those translucent white cats), some shaman...lke fiendish Trogs shaman.....probably forgetting something, can see Invisibility.

Most creatures cannot see Invisibility. Some cast True Seeing after being agroed.

You cannot hide from purple named bosses.

You can hide from red named bosses.

Talon knows a thing or two about stealth and DDO.

You can use any weapon and Armor even though you are not proficient in it.....you just won't be able to hit well with it equiped.

Rolling a 20 on a Vorpal Bastard Sword is almost as good as rolling 20 on a Vorpal Sickle.....even if you are not proficient with it.

A high lvl Ftr (or similar class) hits so well, it rarely matters if he is proficient with a weapon or not.

Wearing armor you are not proficient in, gives a penalty to attack based on the Armor Check Penalty of the Armor. Magical Padded armor, and Magical Light Shields have no Armor Check Penalty. (wannabe battle mages and Rogues without TWF take note.)

Bards have Spell failure when using Shields. Light Mithral Shields have no Spell failure.

Tower Shields do not effect Divine spell casting. Even if you are not proficient. (healing Clerics take note)

You can cast most heals and buffs while Invisible. An Invisible healer is very powerful.

Pretty sure Shadow Walk does NOT make you invisible....but I think it should. Otherwise it follows a lot of rules like Invisibility for whether is breaks or not.

Talon wishes he could make a Shadow Walking healer without spending three feats.

Many scrolls and wands work just about as good as the real spell, in many situations. Things that do not have saves for instance....cure alls.

At least half of the things you would ever want cast on you, can be bought as potions. More can be bought as wands or scrolls. Some come on clickies. Chief among these is Cure Wounds, Lesser Restoration, Remove Curse, Remove Disease, and Remove Blindness.

Many pots can be cast on someone else as well.

Raging Barbarians find this last one very annoying.

I really should get back to work.
