    Default Best solo character

Hi I'm a new player, I've got 2 lvl 4's. I enjoy soloing especially when i'ts tough to find a grp. My question is what's the best solo build including epics. From what I've seen it's a WF wiz18/rogue2 or maybe straight 20wiz for DCs. I have VIP too btw, any help would be appreciated. I'm sure there's some random builds floating around possibly several pages back or what not, so if u know a good one a lin would be helpful. I also want to make sure WF wiz is what I'm looking for, because others talk of FvS also. Thanks

I'd say that a lot of the "being able to solo" comes from knowing the quests and having as much gear and clickies as you can on you. I'd say you should try to at least level one of you guys up to ~15 (preferably 20) to get a basic understanding of game mechanics and how to mitigate incoming damage and also to start making some serious money so you can afford all the pots/scrolls/gear that are associated with soloing.

Then if you think you are up for it and have saved enough money, both WF-Wiz, melee-FvS/Clr and also warchanter-Bards (fascinate!) are excellent for soloing.

For you as a beginner I would highly recommend the WF-wiz which will start to shine from around level 7 with his firewall.

Oh btw, with regard to FvS/Clr melee builds: without gear/TRs/twitch-skills to back it up, please dont make another gimpy healer (ive got one, i know what it takes to pull it off, definitely not a beginners build).

    Hope that helps!

Look for some Ghostie wf wizard builds. They utilize stealth to conserve sp.

Just tailor your expectations, especially on a new character. WF Wiz is really good solo build, but you will often fail quests a number of times before you can successfully run through it without running out of spellpoints.

Melee FvS is a bit more forgiveable, since you can do damage without using spellpoints. Learning how to heal in a group while meleeing can be tricky however. I'd recommend healbotting in groups at first until you get the hang of it. In the same way, melee clerics can solo pretty well as well.

Other options including Paladins. Warchanter bards can be done as well, but generally require more resources, imo.

In all cases, knowledge is the most powerful factor when soloing, so expect to fail a number of times as you acquire it. If you think that's fun, go for it. Every quest is like a new puzzle.

For levelling, I would go with WF evoker archmage all the way up to archmage 4 (don't take the fire shield, just take am4 for the arcane blast).

The build is very efficient against trash and excellent DPS against bosses. The force line also helps with self repairing.
