    Default Suggestion pls ;(

How do you get rid of lag causes by switching out gear for something that has clickies on? Anyone else getting it and how can you fix it?

I'm not entirely sure what you are experiencing is lag.

Lag is an unintentional delay caused by a low internet speed or the server's computer (or your computer) slowing down.

If you change armour in order to gain access to a clickie on another suit of armour, for example, there is a delay to represent the time to take off, or put on, a complex piece of protection. The lighter the armour, by class, the quicker it takes, with robes being the fastest.

This is not lag, this is an in-game delay to model the change over.

Clickies also have timeouts, to pace the speed at which they can be activated. Again this is not lag, instead it is an in-game feature.

This might be the case but mind explaining why some clickies cause no lag at all while other can cause up to 40 sec or more? I never have a problem with some and with others always.....?

If you can do other things, in-game, while a clock-face progressing across the clickie icon then it not lag, just a time out.

The reason? DDO is partially turn-based so, even though combats essentially happen in real-time, there is a pace to the game.

The time outs are there for balance.

Nah, he is talking about lag.

I noticed on my paladin when exchanging back and forth to chaosblades. As soon as you equip those you should get a neg level.

After some time and a lot of switching the stuff got lagged; i pressed the weapon set, the model of the weapon changed, wait, wait, wait for like 10 secs then the neg level. No moving/casting/fighting in this window as well.

    1) Both my rig and my connection would be able to run 10 instances of ddo without problem.
    2) Relog fixes it.

    But annoying as hell tho.

Thats the only fix I know of. Pretty sure its part of the memory leak issue. On a fresh load up, I can cycle through whatever clickies I want, shift gear, etc. After a few hours though, it gets pretty bad. Ran an Invaders elite a bit ago, got to beholders and went to toss on my Talisman...bad idea. :3 Good 5-8 seconds later the screen unfroze to my ghost and stone sitting there. Notice it bad with weapon sets as well. :/

Not only relog, but restart the client too. Seems the only thing that clears that up.

This is why I was careful to define "lag" first so future posters, like yourself, could confidently disagree with me!

This happens when you switch characters a lot without restarting your client.

Completely re-open the client any time you intend to play after swapping chars.
