    Default AA build...looking for advice

    Thought of this the other day. As a soloer, I thought this might be interesting. Mainly a melee with AA. Elven (F12)Kensai2/Ranger6/Rogue2.
    300hp(yikes)
    str-15(22 with 4 level ups+three fighter str enhancements)
    dex-16(18 with 1 level up+one dex enhancements)
    con-14
    int-10
    wis-10
    chr-8
    Couldn't fit precise shot, and don't have the natural dex for the improved version.
    Feats=
    Rogue1=toughness
    ranger2=FE
    ranger3=OTWF
    fighter4=Point blank
    ranger6=mental toughness
    ranger7=FE
    rogue9=weapon focus:ranged
    fighter10=imp.crit:slash(scimmy's)
    fighter12=GTWF+weap.focus:slash
    fighter14=weap.special:slash
    fighter15=Greater weap.focus:slash
    fighter16=Greater weap focus:ranged
    fighter18=power attack+imp.crit:ranged
    fighter20=Greater weap.special:slash

    As for enhancements, I was planning on NOT taking the tempest1(obviously) and taking kensai2(scimmy's) with the elven AA line. (Without Tempest, will my off-hand attack hit as a Kensai2?)
    I like this in theory as it takes full advantage of being an elf, but....
    The thing is, being a relatively new player, I don't know if I'd be better off just going Ranger12(Tempest2)/Fighter7(kensai1:longbow)/Rogue1. That would open up some feats and enhancement points buy not going AA line, and instead, using the kensai enhancements to juice up the bow a little bit. Any suggestions?

    I think there is a build in existence that does what you're after.

    Take a lot at Dark-Star's "Helves Angel"

    Helves Angel is awesome, but it's a 34-pt TRed-paladin half-elf; looks like the OP is a F2P newbie still stuck with 28-pt builds & base races. Maybe give him a suggestion that's a little more doable, eh?

    It is possible to squeeze in Prec Shot & Imp Prec Shot if you dump-stat INT & WIS and take a +2 DEX tome for IPS and a +2 INT tome to have enough skill pts to max UMD on ftr lvls. Like so:

    Code:
    Character Plan by DDO Character Planner Version 3.8.0
    DDO Character Planner Home Page

    Level 20 True Neutral Elf Female

    Haha, sorry, yes, I rushed that a bit.

    I meant just what I said though, to look at it for inspiration, nothing more

    Your build looks good. Only comment is that OP wanted "mainly melee with AA". So maybe swap the Kensei stuff to Khopesh/Slashing? If I'm interpreting the OP's intentions correctly he'll be whacking most of the time and only use ranged when Manyshot is off cooldown. Khopesh Kensei would probably give such a playstyle more mileage.

    Yeah, if you want a more melee-focused version, switch to Slashing instead of Ranged for Kensai; you'll also need to add in WF Slash which means dropping a feat (probably Quick Draw). Or spec for heavy picks (Piercing) like Helves Angel; then you don't need khopesh and can keep QD.
