While I am playing DDO my screen suddenly goes completly blank, i can't see anything but i can here music in the background can't move my toon, can't type messages, tried changing from direct X 10 to direct X 9 and it didn't work, switched back and still did not work. this hapens on multiple worlds but not to anyone else who uses this computer, doesn't happen in any one particular place, seems to be completely random.

    Computer Info.

    Edition Windows 7 home premium
    Model Studio XPS8000
    Processor Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.8 GHz 2.79 GHz
    RAM 8.00 gig

Any help would be... well... helpful
If you have also had this problem and have fixed it I would very much like to know how you fixed it.

Is it a laptop? my laptop screen goes blank ocassionally but probably isn't your case.

Unfortunately there might be a lot of things and you might have to troubleshoot it.
Gotta see if it's direct X, or the graphic drivers, or overheating, or windows, or the monitor, etc.

Why can I hear sound but the screen is still black after I log in to the game?

One reason why you may still hear sound but have a black screen is a third party firewall asking for permissions to try access the Internet.
If you are experiencing this issue, you may need to disable any kind of firewalls or antivirus software that act as a firewall for troubleshooting purposes and try logging on again.
Some Intel users may find that when DirectX 10 is enabled, only their UI is visible and the rest of their screen is black. If this occurs, we recommend you disable DX10, enable DX9, and restart the game client.

    Please post your dxdiag:
