My previous point stands. Never accept blind invites. The groups that sit and look through the Who Panel sending /tells to healers are not groups that you'll be happy healing. There's a reason they can't find a healer....

Agreed! I meant using up my "spell points" and abbreviated it "sp pts" so it was an honest mistake in thinking I had written "sp pots". No problem. And I share in your viewpoint after that as well, just thought I'd share.

You killed fire/ice .. may as well have kept going. More than enough shrines in there.

Wow khyber. This is some truely terrible drama you have here.

Good luck with...well...figuring out when your group is going to fail earlier, I guess, OP. Make a note of NEVER (I noticed you rather enjoy using capitalized words for emphasis) grouping with any of the people from that TS run ever again. Any and all content above level 11 is much more difficult and...failing at a Tempist Spine run is a pretty good warning that a build/player is complete trash.

They can suck a cure pot. Everyone should have some sort of self preservation.
Disappointed and without trust in the powers that be.

    I accept blind invites.

Then I just continue soloing whatever quest I was in. If I wasn't in a quest yet, I might go grind out some solo lowbie favor quests.

Tempest's Spine is a quest I used to really like. I avoid it like the plague now, for EXACTLY these reasons.

It's the first quest most players encounter where communication is essential (except the Pit, which is usually one person soloing everything except a couple of levers and fights, and a lot of players never run it).
    I don't have a zerging problem.

    I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

But that's exactly why I read it wrong.
SP stands for Spell Points. The second "Pts" was redundant, so my mind just added a vowel and it made sense.
After all, we don't call them HP Pts.

This simply isn't always the case. I find the tell is usually telling in what kind of group it will be. Clearly the leader knew what he was doing, but the little Bs lied to him about knowing the quest. Could he have played 20 questions to find out any liers beforehand? Well, sure, but that's just above and beyond and straight into obnoxious territory.

Also, to equate a polite tell with a blind invite is just wrong imho.
Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

I think *any* /tell asking to join a group is rude unless that person is a friend. If it's a random player, it's rude.
I know how to use the LFM panel. If I wanted to join your group, I would have clicked the button that says Join. If I didn't click Join, then either I'm not looking for a group to join at the moment, or I'm not interested in joining *your* group. In either case, I don't need a /tell about it.

I don't like blind invites. That said, I have received tells on my bard to join a party. I don't really mind, if it's an interesting quest/raid that I feel like doing.

TS is an interesting, and well-designed dungeon and quest. It really pushes a new player to realise that tactics is needed, how to cooperate etc. Compared to most of the quest before that (other than Proof is in the Poison and Freshen the Air), it's quite a new and exhilarating experience for new players. My first TS run was incredibly fun and smooth, thanks to a great leader.

That said, I'm not surprised if people haven't done it before. I have not played MMO's before, so I didn't even knew what a raid was until I joined a TS group. With the plethora of low-level quests, it is easy to miss it within the level range. And no, not everyone googles DDOwiki and ask around to check out the best quest for loot or max xp/min. A lot of new players (including me back then), opened up our social panel, see whatever quest that's on within our level that we haven't do, and click on it.

Just thought Id add my bit.

PuGging as a healer can be a real drag sometimes, made worse by players carrying zero pots and being in no way self sufficient.

Add the fact that many of the group didnt know it, then the fact they didnt admit to not knowing even when asked, then the fact that it was an Elite run meant it was going to be a healers nightmare.

"Wipes are always the healers fault". Isnt that what the first sign says upon entering Stormreach?'

Even a group that wipes without a healer blames the wipe on lack of heals.

Its the reason why I rarely PuG with my FvS - I got fed up of people zerging off from the main group, getting killed and moaning that I didnt heal them.

If you plan to keep PuGing then these type of run will make you a better healer in the long run. If you can keep a bad gruop standing, youll breeze it with a good one. As many people have already, you cant heal stupid

    Finally

Im not suprised that not all players know TS though. Some people like to stick with what they know when levelling. Add the fact that they could be a casual player that doesnt spend a lot of time playing, or may be relatively new to DDO.

For example I joined DDO 5 months ago. Real life limits playing time so my L19 FvS has missed lots of content. Ive never ran VoN, Abbot, Titan, Fens to name just a few.

Good luck with your future healing.
