what happened to the idea of henchmen, these are the guys who follow you out of loyalty rather for cash.

of course you would have to equip them with better weapons as the game goes along.

guildies are pcs where as henchmen are npcs.

as i see it, you couldnt use them as mules, since anything you would have them carry becomes theirs or the cash if and when sold.

they also should probable be 3 or more lvls below you. meaning when they get within two lvls they start to think they can do it as well as you can.

I think the idea is more about being able to customize something like a hireling, from spells to equipment, rather than to avoid paying the 1 to 1k plat per contract for an actual hireling.

yes, besides after fixing his/her equipment after ever adventure, they wouild end up costing more than a hireling at least on those times when he dies.
