The TR Tilde's

I would like it if in under options/game options we had a box that we could check or uncheck to allow a player to turn off the TR tilde's.

Example: True Resurrection Tilde, check for show

The check for show could even be the default option making players that do not want it to uncheck it by going into options.

The reason I am asking for this and it is only my preference is that I prefer not to have the TR tilde's show around my characters name. I have discussed this with other players and some like the tilde's but there are also those that do not like it.

The identifier can be what is already in place. When you look at a players bio is states Adventurer (28 point build), Champion (32 point build), Hero (34 point build), Legend (36 point build).

Again I am not suggesting taking the tilde's away.

As for not TRing if you don't want the wings, that logic is asinine. If all you got were the wings from TRing, your position would have merit, but there's more to the package. Why must the wings be kept visible? They tell you nothing about the player's build, stats, or gear -- no, I think we can safely conclude that the wings are purely meant as a medal, something to show off; so why force people to show off if they don't want the attention? For... brawling? I'll spare the lol. Oh, too late.

I don't support this suggestion either, but I don't think it would hurt much either way, can always examine and see if the character is TR or 28 or whatever.



It's not like you can see your own wings, so I don't understand the problem.

I see no harm in having a show/hide button in the options. More customisable UI options = good thing.

I don't have any TRs. If I did and I could turn off the '~' marks I would. Generally I prefer to keep my epeen in my epants if I possibly can and I can't see any in game reason why you would need to see the '~'. Clearly some can, so a tick box would seem like a good compromise to allow everyone to get what they want.

Having the titles like they currently have in your bio is just fine and suttle. For those players that like or love the tilde's more power to you. For me I would love to uncheck them.

I certainly do not see the harm in this suggestion.

As to the if you don't like a little display add on that goes with a stronger toon don't ever make the stronger toon that is just silly.

Funny...I have never seen my wings...and yes most of my toons are now TR's or TR2 or worse......

I dont care either way....but i wonder how does OP even see his wings so that it bothers him?

I know sometimes a stigma comes along with such... Some people relate such attribute with experience, reputation or prestige while others with with expectation, and often disappointment... Often we see “Vet's and TR” in lfm supposition be some screening to bring in a “decent” player. Yet neither attribute vouches for personal character or even skill of the player... Some people are good players with decent demeanour while others may not be so. Treat TR is some sort of testimonium? We all know an belligerent imbecile with a PhD be still a belligerent imbecile.

I'd sign if it was the reverse.

YOU have an option to turn off displaying it for everyone.

So only your screen will be the one that sees any change.
