    Default Memorial Wall

A close friend and I enjoyed playing DDO together until he passed away this past summer. It made me think that DDO needs a Wall of some kind where memorials can be posted forever to commemorate friends. I was thinking it should cost something significant to post on this Wall so that it does not become overrun with obnoxious fools posting tripe. Perhaps it should even require the approval of a Mod in order to post to the Wall. But I think it would be a great way to remember past players.

I suggest if such a thing were created, that it be located in the plaza area in Meridia. This is another way to keep fools from posting on the Wall, since it takes some effort to get to Meridia in the first place, and it is kind of a gathering spot for good players.

    I agree with shores.

If you let anyone post anything for a cost, it would just get spammed. This would just create another thing for DDO GMs to police.

Do not want. We all have losses IRL. It's depressing...

I am sorry for your loss but it's just not what I come to Eberron to think about.

What did your friend do for DDO or DnD (on a national/global scale)? That is why Gary and Dave have memorials.

My condolences for your lost, but I'm sorry. The forums are your best place for what you seek.

I hate to agree with people saying No. But I kind of do.

I wouldn't be apposed to a generic memorial to DDo friends that have passed. Just like we have for Gygax, and Dave.
So when you are missing your friend you can go and have a moment. And not worry about it being covered with spam. Maybe it can be click able and take you to a section of the forums where you can make a posting about those that have passed using the internal web browser.

Also I wouldn't be apposed to being able to scribe a short note on an item. So when you use that item you have a private reminder.

A note on an item might be used for many things.

I'm sorry for your loss but I do not think this would be a good idea either.

It sounds a little depressing and I'm not sure it's really needed.

Edit: Just a suggestion, but you could post about him in your bio. I've seen that done before.
