Default What the freck people? It happened again!

So I was in a PUG DQ with several very long time players, people you'd recognize. People who even post here on the forums. I got some bramble casters and decided to roll them off seeing as I already had a pair. Rolled a d666 and the guy who won decided he didn't want them that bad, said in VC he'd trade them for a +2 tome someone was offering him for them. So they swapped loot. My loot for some other guy's loot.

Come on ppl, if your going to do lameness at least have a little shame about it and don't do it in voice chat while the whole party is still there.

I'm not blacklisting anyone over this because I like both players, but...REALLY? Out in the open like that?

Envoi, I told you I'd give you the +2 DEX tome I pulled for the Bramble-Casters since I had the Green Blade and Torc already and it was the last item I needed and would go well with my Docent of Defiance for when it didn't wan't to proc. (since they won't stack) The other guy was pretty nice though and made the trade. I am happy. <3

Really? You don't even realize what was wrong with what happened here?

Some guy rolls on an item he (obviously) doesn't want. And then profits off of it. You've enabled this person, and are teaching him it is appropriate game behavior to do this.

The second-place roller should have walked away with these.

I mean... dang man. Just dang. And to think I was feeling sorry for you for having that Shroud LFM up in the time it took 5~6 others to fill.

I don't see the big issue here. It was Envoi's loot, it went up for roll, and the guy who won it (who actually did want it) decided to be nice and trade for my +2 DEX tome. Actually, it was his loot when he won the roll, so he could have done whatever he wanted. ^___^ Even if you don't understand it's okay because it's all good.

Make me pay for it in an LFM or something like don't let me join your group if you're that bent outta' shape about it. =o

I wish there was a way to measure how much influence this thread alone has on creation of specific characters, like arcane archers, on specific servers, like Sarlona, or how much influence it has on acquisition of specific items, such as pale lavender ioun stones.

    See your playing games here.

It was not the acceptable that first the winner wanted it than instantly wanted to trade it.
This is EXACTLY the same as having another person roll and pass it to you.

Simply put...your a CHEAT and a LIAR. I would not trust or game with you.
And i wonder why anyone else would.

It is your loot to do with it as you please when it falls under your name.

It does not become your loot until it has your name on it.

People don't like it when someone rolls on their loot then trades it for something else. This act is considered bad form. A large portion of people would like the person that actually won the roll to use it instead of trade or sell the loot.

If you sell the loot or trade it, the person whose name appeared first on the loot sees this as a way of profiting from their generosity because they would have rather the person be able to use the loot with it's abilities and stats involved instead of trading it.

They didn't have to put their loot up for roll and could have instead left it in the chest to rot.

If the loot had your name on it from the moment the chest was opened and you traded your loot for another piece of loot, people don't mind this...there are a few exceptions I've read...because it was your loot to begin with and you are asking someone else to trade for their loot that began with their name.

To sum up, the selling and trading of loot that was acquired from rolling is frowned upon.
Disappointed and without trust in the powers that be.

Please do not be angry with me fellow forum dweller. I'm not the one who won the roll and sold the item.

I'm the guy who lost a roll and traded for it, when we both wanted it. He was being nice to me. :P

Best suggestion I have heard for how to handle disagreements in handeling loot. It works quite well actually.

You are what you associate with. And as you so quickly admitted you are very much just as much the problem.
You and the person who first rolled.

You sir are not worth me or anyone i know running with.
For you sir, have no morals and no personal integrity.

One day, you may reflect on these things...small as they are...but it is exactly this kind of action that speaks volumes about the type of person you are and why one should never trust such a person with anything.

So enjoy your time in game....I hope it is lonely for you and unrewarding....for you have no shame.

I am rarely kind or gentle...but i do not deceive and i do not lie and i do not steal or cheat.
You cannot say these things and not be lying.

Thus...your actions speak clearly as to what you are.

Or if their rolls will be ignored in similar situations. Or if loot won't be passed until they're no longer in the instance if it's an item he has attempted to purchase.

Loot threads often have high caloric content, and I'd made a pledge for the new year...
