Doubtful, because then no one would care about what they are saying. There's no point to griefing if no one considers it to be griefing.

Just open your own Teamspeak-Server.

There you can curse and call each other names - or in other words, behave like real adults.

I'd rather see a server that has zero pvp options on it.

no pits. no inns. nothing.

this would go a long way to removing some of the annoying players from the gameplay.

why do you need a server for this??

you have the option to enable/disable a filter. and you ALWAYS have the choice on who you group with.

theres also a squelch tool. and even the option to report people.

the only reason I can see a person suggesting this is if they happen to be the person getting repeatedly squelched or reported.


MY suggestion:

Play nice. Trash talking is fine. But should be reserved for people you know. Doing that with a stranger is probably the reason you receive infractions.

I am curious how it would be marketed. As a second game with a different raiting? As someone else asked, how you you keep the kids out?

No it wouldn't.

A more widespread 'adult' themed server with minor graphic adjustments also to show more graphic violence and racy content might have enough people who would play on it, but at the cost of another build of the game which would probably be more cost to Turbine then it is worth again.

This idea would be more popular but I agree also expensive.

They keep making new accounts and coming back always griefing and starting things in General chat.

If they could just have a place to go where they won't have to worry about being banned and can continue to pay, and I won't have to worry about seeing them in General, that'd be great.

Now explain to me on why we should cater to people that have been "perma" cough cough banned multiple times?

Most cursing and name calling is done by either immature children, or immature adults. It is not an "adult" thing by any means, just childish.

Problem players cause problems because they like causing problems for others. It wouldn't change anything. They would remain on their current servers until banned. New ones will come in on the same servers, while far fewer old ones will get banned or bored.

Now I do wonder if a case study needs to be done about adding a server to help mitigate the load on existing ones. Shavarath is a good name for one, if they add it. Not a special case server for people who quite frankly need to be hit in the head with the ban hammer, or retards, or anything else, but just a normal server. But I don't know if the costs/benefit comparison would work out, as it is expensive to set up and run a server, much less a MMO one. So that'd be on the devs and management to determine, not us.

I know I'd be sorely tempted to try and convince the guildies that it'd be in our interest to move, just for lower lag. They'd have to offer free transfers though for it to work, though. Most people would just stay otherwise, and hope others will leave.

Constant cursing, yes. Occasional cursing, not so much. Yeah, there are those who don't want to hear it no matter how old the originator is but there is indeed a time and a place for cursing, and it's not just when you're in extreme pain.
