    Default Recall to Meridia after finishing a Vale quest

    I didn't see it in a the Known Issues thread and I haven't seen it mentioned in quite a while, so here it is.

    1.) Please make it so that we recall to Meridia from the Vale of Twilight after finishing out of a Vale quest!

    Or

    2.) Make it so finishing out of a Vale quest ports us to Meridia (leave recalling as recalling to the Vale).

    I would prefer option (1), but option (2) would also work for me and has precedence (i.e. Sub-T raids).

    Hate that myself, problem is, I'm pretty sure, that Meridia is within the explorer area. The game automatically takes you out of the explorer area, hence the jump to the Twelve.

    If you dimension door back to the start, exit the quest manually, and then recall, you'll end up in Meridia.

    I know this and I am sure many others do as well. But, if you don't have anyone in the group with Dimension Door you have to have someone recall, then re-enter, then the rest of the group recalls and re-enters, then you can all leave through the front door and recall to Meridia. Pain in the butt! The Dimension Door trick and the recall/re-enter trick are work-arounds to an extremely inconvenient design.

    If you are soloing on a character that does not have Dimension Door you are SOL.

    I agree. :S
    So bad to back to Meridia when you Solo a Vale Quest. Or simple don't have a Caster. Recall to Meridia would be so good.

    As noted above, if you use some means of leaving the quest through the entrance you can recall back to Meridia. But, recalling or finishing from the quest, then recalling takes you to the Twelve.

    Ive heard rumors of teleporting to meridia.

    /yes you can...every toon can....just a matter of effort.

    Another option:

    3.) Add NPCs to the front door of Meridia and a single NPC at the front door of each of the quests with a script that allows you to teleport to each other once you have talked to both similar to the mechanic in the Restless Isles or the Portal in Shavarath to the Tower of Despair entrance.

    Which is more rare than a bloodstone for me. I have 5 bloodstones and only 1 Royal Guard Mask.

    The current mechanic is still inconvenient.

    As the quest givers are in Meridia and therefore our rewards, it would be logical for recalling after a completion to take us THERE and not somewhere else!

    There are many tricks for getting back to Meridia - self teleporting or (suprising no one mentioned it) Greater Teleport for the whole party - are just a few.

    Good suggestion OP, glad to see it get brought up AGAIN - and hope the dev's at least have it on their short list of things that are overdue to fix.

    If you do /death in the wilderness or the quest, wouldn't it be one of those non-public instance deaths. Therefor giving you a repair bill?

    And what of another 1-2K plat on your repair bill for the outing? Its nothing in the grand scheme of things.

    Still a work-around. And an annoying one at that.

    I would prefer to actually recall to Meridia after finishing a Vale quest.

    That stopped being handy to get to meridia when guild ships came out. Smart people now bind in the 12 so they can death taxi to their ship.
