The calc can account for that, but the time is no different than just activating a haste-boost because you can hit both buttons at once.

Didn't know that... Cool. The difference is haste boost adds more DPS then what you lose in the activation time HV doesn't :P

Although I have not personally tested it Cold sent me a pm saying that HV shares the same activation timer as haste boot if they are activated at the same time. If this is the case no additional activation timers are needed. HV IV provides +5 damage for 20 secs and a cooldown of 10 secs doing an average of 3.3 recurring damage per hit (2/3rds of 5 for 40 secs on and 20 secs off) per minute. This damage is mutiplied on a crit and can be added into any of the slots in the base damage section of the calc.

Obviously the boost only has 19.4 seconds activated but I did not bother going into too much detail as the result is the same either way.

If it did not share the same timer it would be easy it insert another 0.6 sec activation.

you are still wrong here you claim 2-3 dmg first from str then in correcting the op later you try to say you claimed 2-3 str these are different things. your max is 15 on a 2-3 weapon and 20 on a x4

Like you I thought HV was a big POS til I just swapped it in to experiment.

You hit both both boosts simultaneously and start swinging after 0.6secs, you lose *no extra time whatsoever* by activating both boosts, and you're getting your extra damage from HV at the FHB swing rate.

It's pretty sexy, not HOrc sexy, but still pretty sexy.

My main's a Human ranger, I can ABSOLUTELY attest to it being on the same timer as haste boots. I'm just asking if you modified your calc to include an HV boost or if you fudge the numbers after the fact.

So you just added 3.3 damage per hit? That seems like it'd work for as long as you have boosts.

Please, please, just let the spreadsheet gamers believe that half orc is superior in all situations. Those of us who know better can play the real master race and silently grin at the not so silent chest thumpers when they feel the need to constantly reaffirm that which we know isnt true.

OP, if you show the spreadsheet gamers they are incorrect in their quick, continual, and absolute gravitation to half orc, be prepared to be accused of using the calc tool incorrectly, and not knowing math, because the only thing they can possibly use to refute the truth is challenging the creditility of said statement. When you use the same tool they do to banter your evidence, any attempt by them to do so will be mildly entertaining at best.

HV has been awesome for quite a while now. I have seen many of the same people who talk up other boosts try to shoot this one down, even though it works in conjunction with many of the other ones.

ok let's spell out how this statement is wrong again.

The half-orc will have 2-3 str more than a half-elf. This does not equal 2-3 dmg it equals 1-2 damage. So you do 12-15 more on a x3 weapon not 15-18,or 16-20 on a x4 not 20-24.

When you later tried to prove yourself right you said the difference is 2-3 str total which is correct but your first post showed 2-3 dmg from str which is still incorrect.
