can i add the PARALYZING effect on some bow myself? if yes..... HOW and.. to wich bows?

You need to loot one or buy it on AH.

    Default Ah

You can find paralyzing longbows and shortbows as random drops or the auction house. I think a +1 paralyzing bow has a minimum level of 10. The named Silver Longbow has a greater base damage rating and wider critical range than any standard longbow.

    No, for 2 reasons:
    1. The Risia Recipes can only add cold touch/frost/icy burst to "randomly generated" (IE, non-named) weapons. The Silver Longbow is not randomly generated, it is a named item.

    2. The Winter Games are currently not running, so you wouldn't be able to add it right now anyway. They will be back eventually, though.

You can add the Force Damage or Force Critical rituals to it though. Note you can only add one or the other, and Force Damage is better. See http://ddowiki.com/page/Stone_of_Change_-_Recipes

then... i'll start looking for those luminescent dusts and fragrant drowshood mushrooms then. Can you tell me if there are better places to look out for them?
any other improvment available for the silverlongbow?

Re: Paralyzer - I forget what I paid for mine on the AH, but it was worth every pp. Though I had been told that "at higher levels it's useless" (or words to that effect) my level 19 Elf Tempest Ranger still uses it with good results. It obviously isn't going to work in EVERY situation, but I highly recommend having one in your arsenal, along with the Silver Longbow.

Starting the 17th you should be able to buy an "Icy Burst Kit" from another player, or farm it out yourself. Good luck!

If you happen to be on Argonnessen I can hook you up with the second upgrade, up to frost free of charge, I have a ton of those recipes sitting around...but no icy burst at present.

Check the House D vendors every so often as well. I dont know about Argo but on Khyber I've seen a fair few paralyzing weapons, including bows, dumped on there. So many I was starting to wonder if anybody was still using paras!
All of Company of the Black Dragon and all of Warriors of the Wild
Some of the Vagabond Horde and some of the SrTG
    All on Khyber

During the ice games, you can get coins by jumping in the harbor or killing fire elementals. When you turn in the coins, you have a chance of getting 20 different recipes, motes of winter, and various cold related wands, potions, etc. You can use recipe 3 and 100 motes to put cold touch on a weapon. Then you use recipe 4 and 100 motes to upgrade the weapon to frost. Then you use recipe 5 and 100 motes to upgrade the weapon to icy burst. You can only get recipe 5 by turning in purple coins, which are the hardest to get, and then you will still rarely get a 5.

I'm on Argonessen and have two +1 frost paralyzing longbows to sell/trade.

Luminescent drops around market level (quests 4-10) in random colectibels places (I think the alchemical table have the highest chance to drop this collectible family).
Drowshood i heard is prety often droped in tangleroot, but if you are F2P it can drop (but chances are realy low) in ataraxia -> every cave (trolls, ocean, wildman, and one near mineshaft IV) has 1 purpure mushrom that can drop it.

Drowshood: yes, Tangleroot and caves in Ataraxia. Tangleroot is much better.

Luminescent Dust: I only found it in Necropolis 1 pack quests. Tomb of the Crimson Heart seems to be best for it -- I get Luminescent Dust about every other run, and 1-2 Sparkling Dust every time.

A paralyzing bow is effective all the way up through The Vale content. Once you start getting into level 19 and higher content the enemies are hitting hard enough and saving often enough that waiting for the paralyze to proc just isn't worth the damage you and your party will take. . . and everyone else will have killed whatever it is by then.

are there other "improvement" available for weapons besides the cold/frost/icy burst and the force damage/critical ?.

i mean: is it possible (or it were possible) to add other similar effects during other events? (like, i don't know... hot/flaming/lame burst.... or.... holy dmg.....)?

if YES.. can you tell me which ones and how they work (worked)?
