1d6+3 negative energy damage per unarmed strike, DC 11 will save for half damage.Originally Posted by Baalis

The monk / lich build is well established as a flavour build and possibly viable end game with some awesome gear. Leveling will probably be very fun if you go 1 monk then the next 7-12 levels as wizard with monk on the end. Ninja-spy definitely does stack with rogue dilettante but it might be a better option to choose cleric dilettante to be able to use inflict wands/scrolls and harm on yourself for self healing or heal scrolls for self healing when not in undead form. Also, you could splash a level of rogue to get UMD (and maybe intimidate) and 1d6+3 sneak attack anyway (average 6.5 vs 10.5 for the dilettante feat).
It's questionable what utility you get from the 3rd to 8th level of monk vs more wizard. Increased die for your unarmed attack from 1d6 to 1d10 (extra 2 damage), extra +2.5% doublestrike from wind stance II, 1d6 sneak attack from Ninja-spy I (at the cost of a feat), and 25% incorporeality. All of this when compared with the possibility of being a viable arcane caster is something to weigh up. It will be questionable what, if any, roles that this character could fill in a normal party or raid.
Another question is how many constitution damage make in wraith form??
Thanks again
The idea of a monk/semi-undead caster is very interesting, and has the synergy of both sides wearing robes instead of armour, not using melee weapons, and having the flexibility of both spells casting and melee.
But in this game there are some big problems. How will gameplay go?
A Dark Monk's main hitting weapon is Touch of Death, which can come at level 9 at best.
The Wizard can't get to use Undead Forms till level 12.
12 + 9 = 21. So we cannot have both in a level 20 Character.
Most of the Dark Monk finisher abilities depend on 1/2 Monk Level for their DC- and in particular, Stunning Fist attack does too. The most you can get would be Monk level 8, instead of the pure class 20, reducing the DC by 10 - 4 = 6.
By the time you get to mid game, the ability becomes shaky, and by endgame it becomes almost useless. You could still use stunner wraps- but they probably won't trigger when you want them to.
There is a good thread to look at here:
