I think that can only be done via Mod Intervention, and not any thing that can be accomplished by oneself. I could be wrong about that - but I don't think that deleting your game account would purge the forums of your record here.

Try PMing a Mod directly - but I'm not sure what kind of response you are apt to get.

    No idea, my friend.
That's why I suggested PMing a Mod. Good luck to ya.

Deleting the associated account is probably not going to remove the forum account.
The way vbulletin works all the posts are retained by default.

So you will lose access to it and the name will remain taken, beside the loss of toons.
Instead, you may want to just make a new account but you will have to change to another name.

    Default Disable Reputation

Thread is on its 28th or so page, so forgive me for not reading it all. Why not just disable your reputation bars? I realize that it's not a real solution, but it's as close as we'll get right now.

Thats like turning off the TV when theres bad news on. Ignoring the issue doesnt make it go away. Theres no reason why they cant keep the rules and do away with the anonymous grief button. Its clearly proven itself time and again to be a popularity contest enforcement tool, and nothing more. Disabling the bar has been tried by quite a few people in here, but it doesnt stop the system, it simply makes it unseen. Attempts to discuss how we would like the rep system changed were simply removed. The rep system appears to be on fight club rules.

And besides, it's a fun game that proves how easily human minds can be conditioned to do things

After having mine off for a while, I now keep mine on for one reason:

Keeping it turned on allows me the easiest way to keep track of when I get Neg Repped. And thus, it makes it easier to appeal when I feel it was given wrongly.

Default Dear Mods, Devs, and Management

With all the other fundamental changes being made to DDO game-side today, how about a fundamental change forum-side as well - in the form of clarification on or the removal of the Rep system?

While this may nerf the green-bars and rep-titles for some (myself included), it would make the forum-using experience much more friendly and enjoyable for many more. I would gladly give up my rep-title for the common good of the forums.

Really - killing the Rep system would bring you a lot of good will amongst the community. Not kidding even a little bit. Plus - as alluded to earlier in the thread, I have a .gif all picked out to mark the occasion - be it a Mod post to clarify the system or it's timely demise. I won't use it till then, and it's awesome. You guys want to see it, trust me. Don't let it go to waste, and act now!

Hello again friendly DDO Mod Team,

I figured it might be a good time to ask you once again to talk to us about the Rep system.

To beg you to demystify it for us, and explain to us without ambiguity what governs it's existence.

...or kill it, of course. Either option. But please choose one. It continues to be poorly understood by nearly everyone who uses these forums. And, everyone who uses these forums deserves to know what exactly are the rules that we are to abide to. Are there really consequences for too much Neg Rep anymore? Prevailing forum wisdom is no... but who can say for sure? Okay - that was a trick question. You, the Mods can. And it would benefit the forum as a whole if you'd share with us - even just a little bit.

What good is it to keep the rules murky and indistinct? It's only lead to misunderstandings and abuses. You can end that, Mods. I'm honestly and with all the sincerity I can muster begging ya to.

You mean, you don't want everyone to see your new title, "The Epic!?" Unthinkable!

As before, I'll say that the fact that the guy with the biggest greenis this side of the Jolly Green Giant is calling for an end to the system should speak to how much it needs clarifying, revisioning or annihilating.

Why in God's name would you care if you get neg repped? Why would anyone?

I have my reasons, but to openly discuss them would probably violate some rule that is not widely understood and perhaps land me in trouble. I don't want trouble, but rather a greater understanding of a system that has it's only explanatory post tucked away in an obscure corner of the forums. I'm not alone in that either, by the looks of this thread.

    But, I do have reasons.

I have a special gif tucked away for when the Mods shed a little light on the Rep System. It's a good one too - I really wish I could share it as soon as possible. Probably the coolest one I've ever come across, really.

I rather doubt it will ever see the light of day.

But in the meantime, I will offer:
