Default Blue dots on minimap as health meter?

Perhaps this would be making things too easy for the healers, but the idea is to have the blue spots on the minimap become gradually redder as the party member's health declines. Alternatively, have the level of blue within the spot decline vertically in direct proportion to the character's health.

    Thoughts?

Cool. This would be cool. Mildly unlikely, but cool.

No thanks - I can use the party list to see who needs healing.

What I would like, however, is changing the map/minimap to highlight the dot of the player I have selected, so I know where to find the one I've got highlighted.

Trying to click on a player's dot in the map when everyone's in one spot is an exercise in frustration for me.

That would work, too. I was thinking primarily of pt 2 in shroud where the difficulty is finding/getting in range of the person who needs healing. What you're suggesting would achieve that goal as well.

Or when you're new to a raid/quest, and you're told to stick with PlayerA...

As a healer, it's important to remember that 99% of the time it's the players' responsibility to stay in range of you, not the other way around. The exceptions are when you've been designated to heal a specific player, who may not be able to choose where they end up going.
