Will an Alchemical ritual stay on an upgrade item?

Say, if I put Force Damage Ritual on my blank GS longsword, then I upgrade it in the shroud pt1 will it keep the force damage ritual?

Or, if I upgrade my named item(can you upgrade named items?) timeblade with FDR and then make it epic, will it still have FDR on it?

It stays in Shroud crafting.
The Epic upgrade should destroy it though, because it really makes a brand new item instead of upgrading the existing one.
