admin login check box at character screen

Any idea if this is normal, if i login without checkin that admin login, and i buy something from the store, it doesn't appear in my inventory.
When i check the box and login as admin? i see my stuff from the shop in my inventory. Do i keep logging in like this or will it go away by itself?

(i didn't do anything to have that check box be there, not intending to abuse it, i don't know admin commands even)

That appears to be a developer tool used on special dev accounts.. I don't think you should have access to that.

I was a bit shocked when I saw a new option. At first, I thought it was something to do with the operating system. After having read the description, "DEV ONLY: Log in your admin player immediately into 'playertestmode' which means you can still use admin commands but the game will treat your character with the same restrictions as a non-admin player." -- I am not so sure if the account should still be used or not.

It appeared only on a newly created "free" account. I checked my original "premium" account, and it does not exist there.

Is the account with "Login Admin As Player" option safe to use without checking that option?

Anyway, hope someone from Turbine can answer this post soon.

So as fun and mysterious as it may seem, don't select that option. Not only does it not allow you to do anything fun or exciting, it will cause your account to break because it's meant for a different account type and shouldn't normally be visible to player account types. There is a fix in the next game update to correct this display issue.

I just logged in and I've found my character is missing on khyber, and I see that "admin login check box". I opened a ticket (this is my first time opening a ticket and I'm worried), but is this issue related to my character gone missing? I had just been playing last night... and now it looks like its been deleted.

yup same deal for me all my Khyber toons are completely gone. I hope this is just a bad dream and in a few long agonizing hours - after my day-off is nearly over, I will log in to find my characters just as I left them earlier this morning and the silly ice games have returned yet again...

We have people looking into this. Just a heads up that if you do see some sort of "admin" check box when you log into the game, do not check the box! It will not allow you to do anything fun, and can cause problems for your characters.

The issue with Khyber for a brief period today is not directly related to the admin check box being displayed for some folks. The Khyber log-in issue has been fixed! Thank you for your patience.

Most probably OP was a VIP who downgraded to premium
