simple economics of supply and demand dictate that an item is worth precisely what someone else is prepared to pay for it
so if someone really wants the bracers scroll, and has a chaosblade scroll, well that's their choice
i know someone who traded an MC scroll for the gloves of the claw scroll: why? simply because he had the MC scroll and couldnt be bothered to farm for the gloves scroll
when it comes to scroll trading, its each to their own - different players have different builds, and need different items: i traded an infested armor scroll for an envenomed cloak scroll - the other player wanted the infested armor as it worked perfectly for his build, so to him the trade was a good one (this was not long after echrono had been released and all scrolls were reasonably rare)
nowadays i'm sure everyone would say that trade was ludicrously unbalanced, and i'd agree with them - but at the time it made sense to both players
morale of this story, if there is one: dont assign your values on an item to someone else, or put simply, let anyone offer any trade they like; if you dont like the terms offered, either don't trade, or make a counter-offer, don't just whine about how bad a trade the OP is offering
