    Default Installer. problems

Im trying to install the high res version onto a Vista 64 machine. The installer hangs at about 80% every time, despite multiple attempts and restarts.

    Any clues?

To confirm, you have all the 7 bin files already downloaded and you are launching the install using dndsetup.exe?

Do they match the files sizes shown?:

No, it is the auto installer from the website. Is there a place to start up a direct download and bypass the installer?

The high-res version is a single "lump" download.
The 7-file install is the standard-res install pulled down by the download installer.
There is also a single-lump download for the standard-res install.

In theory, the high-res installer should be more reliable, but I'm betting that it got
corrupted somehow. I would do a disk-check, checking for bad sectors, then
(gulp) re-download the high-res installer again.

No seperate file hosting as far as I am aware and I would provide a new location for the download destination and check free disk space.

I disabled my antivirus and windows permissions. Deleted everything that had downloaded so far, gave it a new destination and crossed my toes. I think it was the toe crossing that finally did the trick, but alls well and the game is working. Thanks for tipping in the advice folks.
